I've had this with the 3k. Once arousal ends and the [attempted] erection subsides, it goes back to normal.
Although it was in a 6k rather than a 3k, I also had this issue. I think that so long as you're not ALWAYS having the ballooning it couldn't hurt to leave it be and see how things go. It sounds like you've not been in it that long, and as has (I believe) been stated it takes some getting used to for sure.

I remember the last time I was in a belt and at first it really wasn't too comfortable and I was questioning the fit and everything else that goes with being (pretty) new to longer term chastity. But a couple weeks in and it all kind of settled in as it were. The fit felt more right (though tbh I think it could have been a LOT better still...), I was able to go about my routine more easily, etc.

Now, if you're always "ballooning" then you may want to consider the extra space. At the same time though consider your cleaning routine (I hope you have one) and how often that is. If it's every day or 2 you remove the cage to really get it clean (which isn't a bad idea in a sense) then you may be able to get away without any real negative effect from that. I mean look at people who use some of the Steelworxx things like Atone. Have you seen a Steelheart? Not a vent hole on there if you ignore the urine hole on the end.
The curve wouldn't have worked for me in tight jeans…
I generally wear pretty tight jeans, but what's going to happen of someone notices? They'll be like "you have a really huge penis"? I doubt that. Lol. They can live with what they've seen!

I wore it all day yesterday (ca. 15 hrs) and still had the balloons.... I think I'll be purchasing a curve very soon. :)

Just an update for anyone who is interested... the turtle method plus the stocking method is a great success! Used in conjunction it makes it MUCH easier to get the stocking out the end of the cage. I'm still pretty stuffed in there, so I went ahead and ordered a curve cage that will hopefully be here early next week. I still hope to be able to wear my CB6000 when I want a tighter squeeze. Thanks for the advice everyone!

Again for anyone who may have the same trouble, I got my Curve cage and it fits perfectly. No more flesh balloons or endless struggle to get the skin donut to go away. The stocking method let me slide my cock right in and snap the lock shut with little struggle or resistance. I think this will be my long term chastity solution! If you have the same problems I HIGHLY recommend the purchase of a curve. Love it!
