Thank you for the review you have provided and I look forward to hearing more as time goes on.

Atone/gungadn,

Thanks for the detailed responses. Very helpful.

Atone,

I do have a one question (though I will also go back to the Steelworxx site, too).

Any idea how Steelworxx accomplishes that overall length measurement? I.E., from where to where on the device?

I think it is in the FAQ on his site, he has a drawing. I don't know quite how you are supposed to measure it.

Yeah, saw the FAQ's. That overall length measurement seems a bit strange. Does adjusting the overall length impact the gap size? It appears they ship with a 15mm gap, but it would seem if you reduce the overall length, the gap would close up...I think!?!

I think the overall length sets the length of the tube, the ring and the gap stay the same. I have heard he can / will adjust the gap too but I haven't had that done so I am not sure.

Hmmm. When I'm let out, I'll need to see what my current gap is. I use the 2nd smallest spacer, but the plastic device has quite a bit of "give". I'll need to see if 15mm is even close to what I have now.

I'm guessing Thumper also went with the standard gap, as I see no mention of that being altered in his Steelheart posts. My worry is one of my balls slipping out. I've had this happen a few times on my cb (my left ball seems to be smaller and softer). I'm due to try the smallest spacer again. Just seemed awful tight last time I tried it.

Just for comparison. I used the smallest spacer in my CB3K and CB6K. My Steelheart is the standard spacing. It is actually 5 mm at the top. 15 mm from the bottom of the tube to the ring.
Yes, this feels a bit tighter than the CBXK... But, I find it to be more comfortable. Maybe just solid steel vs plastic that will give and move and pinch. Maybe its just like a well fitting glove is much more comfortable than a loose baggy one. But, overall, I find the Steelheart to be more comfortable even though it is actually tighter.

I just swapped to the smallest spacer in my cb-6000s this morning. I figure if that goes okay, then I would think the 15mm gap on the Steelheart would be fine. I'll report back with how it goes.

danj wrote:How much extra length did you guys order in your Steelheart vs. your actual flaccid length? Any comments on that?
As others have pointed out, you should not order it any longer than your flaccid length (flaccid being just that - relaxed, not shriveled up). If anything, you should consider ordering slightly shorter than that measurement. It can sound counter intuitive, but a wider, shorter cage, slightly roomy base ring, and correct spacing for the balls is the way to go for long term comfort. A short cage makes erections far less problematic than a longer one - strange is it may sound.

I was surprised to have a ball escape behind the ring this weekend, even with the smallest spacer installed on my cb-6000s. So this has now happened 3-4 times with the second smallest spacer, and once with the smallest spacer. So, I don't feel very certain on what to do with the gap on the Steelheart. I'm working on the other measurements, but this gap thing is tough to solve. I figure I'll order two rings, so will have some margin for error on that piece.

I think my wife will let me order this fall, IF I can sort out all the sizing.
