Steelworxx Steelheart Questions

Post by danj »

My wife is starting to slowly warm up to the idea of upgrading to a custom metal device. :D

I've been mostly looking at the Mature Metal devices like the Queens Keep and Watchful Mistress with their ease of cleaning, but was looking over the Steelworxx devices last night. I'm really starting to like the Steelheart with integrated lock. Thumper has a lot of great info on that device, but the daily hygiene aspect makes me nervous. Not so much the cleaning routine. Specifically, urinating. It must get pretty bad as it fills and drains each time you take a leak?!? Doesn't it drip out after you're done for a while, too? Do your boxers get damp with urine?! Any comments from daily wearers? How does it compare to other devices you've worn in terms of hygiene and "ease of use" in your daily life?

Thanks in advance.

I won't lie and say that the steelheart doesn't take a little more effort but I find it to be not that bad. I usually follow the same regimen that Thumper talks about on his blog. Spray bottle with soap and water in the morning, and the spray bottle with just water in the evening. The morning routine is basically the same as I did with the CB3000, maybe a little easier actually. The evening routine is a little bit of a nuisance, some times I skip it if I am really tired.

As for urinating. I just try to go slow and everything just drains straight out. I find it to be at least as easy as in the CB3000, maybe even a little easier. I try to make sure I have a tissue or paper napkin so I can give the end a quick wipe and even stick a corner in real quick to get rid of the last couple of drops. I can do this at a urinal very discretely if I need to although I use a stall if one is available.

Cleaning the jailbird is almost a non issue, I wore mine full time and never did anything other than soap it up as I washed the rest of my body and then sprayed off with the power wand on the shower.

The integrated lock on the steelheart and the tube itself for that matter is really nice. I have no intention of going back to any of my jailbirds. I am actually getting ready to put them up for sale.

Atone,

Thanks for the reply. It's clear you really like your Steelheart. It does seem to be a super high quality device. How often do you remove it for a thorough cleaning/soaking? I know you've mentioned you wear it long term, but wonder if you need to do "scheduled" cleanings of the device. I'm in and out of my device often (rarely more than 3 full days solid), so I'm thinking keeping it clean would be pretty easy. Urination is my biggest concern, but it sounds like my concerns might not be all that valid. Heck, it is not uncommon to have urine splashing about in my cb-6000s. I always sit when I'm caged, and might not need to with a Steelheart.

Thanks again.

Any other Steelheart wearers with thoughts/comments?

you're welcome.

I usually go at least one week but usually not more than two between removals. To tell you the truth I don't really notice any difference between the two. I would like to start going without removing it at all except for when I am allowed some play time, that can occasionally be a month or more. I would think once every 3 days should be pretty easy to do.

When I am at home I usually sit to pee, it is easier, especially when I am tired (night trips to the bathroom). I think it is valid to be concerned about urination but it isn't too hard to manage. I don't always have the option to sit to pee so I have to be able to go standing up.

I find it much easier to keep clean than the old CB series. The stainless steel cleans up much easier than plastic. I have gone 2 weeks plus easy without removing at all. A bit of soap and a hand held pwer sprayer in the shower get everything just as clean as taking it off. (remembering that everyone is different and your results may vary... but, that is my experience).

I also have the penis plug attachment for mine. I am not brave enough to wear it long term without a key available.. So, still "testing" that out. But, I will say, it makes really easy to urinate as everything goes out the plug in a stream.... no mess... So, that is something to consider....

do you have the fixing with penis plug or the penis plug that screws in the end?

How long have you worn it?

How long do you think you could?

Does it prevent pullout?

How much extra length did you guys order in your Steelheart vs. your actual flaccid length? Any comments on that?

And Atone, did you order a smaller ring diameter in comparison to what you had in the CB-3000? From what I've read so far, I'll want to go somewhat smaller than what I comfortably wear in my cb-6000s (second largest... 1 7/8", if memory serves). I am wondering how much smaller...guess that's the $64,000 question.

@Atone - I actually have Fixing with the rubber loop. http://steelworxx.de/Fixing-made-of-rubber-45p.html It is a bit pinchy at times. But, I have worn it for several days with no issues. It does seem to keep everything where it should be. Only thing is, you will want to run to the hardware store and get a collection of rubber o-rings so you can get a custom fit.
And, the Penis Plug that screws into the end. http://steelworxx.de/Penisplug-for-all-cb-s-50p.html
I have never gone over night with it in. So, max is during the day only.
How long do I think I could? It is actually rather comfortable. Seems like it would be fine long term. But, I am really nervous about anything in that area at the moment. We have actually had to take a break due to having to have surgery in the area. They discovered a "Urinary Stricture". those are usually caused by scar tissue from injuries. The most common cause is Biking accidents. Pretty sure the root cause of mine was an old motorcycle injury. But, it sure makes you cautious about anything that could possibly cause injury in that area.....
Does it prevent pullout? Helps - Yes! It is "uncomfortable" to try to pull back far enough to get out with something stuck inside......

Hopefully over time I can give a better long term use review of these. But, like I said, we had to take a break right after getting them and Im just getting back into it...

@ Danj,

I pretty much used Thumpers rightup as a guide when ordering mine: http://denyingthumper.com/chastity-devi ... t-vs-cb6k/

I ordered it at my flacid length. The real question is the "flacid length". I measured at a normal relaxed state not the "just got out of a cold shower shrunken to nothing" measurement. And, I measured it many times over a couple of weeks. It is very comfortable. Even during morning erections. It pretty much stops them before they get going.. so, no discomfort...

I also wore the 2nd largest ring in the CB3K and CB6K (1 7/8). I have the 47mm ring... I think a 45mm would actually be more comfortable after it is on. but, I cannot get my "junk" through a 45mm without significant discomfort...

The custom fit and solid build of these make it much more comfortable than I thought possible. I have not put my plastic one back on once since getting the Steelheart. So, yes, I highly recommend a custom steel device.

Second question first (because it is easier). I also wore the 1 7/8" ring on my CB3000. My first steel device was a jailbird, I got three rings with it - 1 7/8" that I only wore a little bit at first. 1 3/4" that I transitioned to after a couple of weeks, and a 1 5/8" that I never wore. I stayed with the 1 3/4" ring for all the Mature Metal devices I had (I have other size rings I just never wore them). When I ordered the Steelheart I go two rings, both 44mm, one standard and one anatomical. 44mm is just a hair under 1 3/4" (1.73"). I only wear the flat ring. I tried wearing the anatomical a few times but never found it to be comfortable for me. I have a new steelheart on order and I ordered both a 44mm ring and a 42mm ring (1.65", a little over 1 5/8"). I am not sure I will be able to wear the smaller ring at night, it might be too tight during nocturnal erections, but I know it will work during the day.

I think you are close on it being the $64,000 question. I would be afraid to add up what I have spent on chastity devices in the last year and a half. I just ordered a new steelheart to add to the collection. I might have been able to send in the one that I have to get add-ons but then I wouldn't have it to wear in the mean time. That just wouldn't do. I am getting and internal fixing with penis plug and also the comfort ring this time. I am taking the opportunity to tweak the sizing a little but nothing major, just a couple of mm.

Now for the first question. This is more difficult for a couple of reasons. One is I don't actually know what my flaccid length is. I took some measurements a really long time ago but don't think they were very accurate. I primarily just adjusted the length / width of the new cage based on experience with the previous cage and kept refining it. I will say that while fairly effective it is definitely not cost efficient. To make it even more difficult the steelheart length is based on overall length not the cage length like the CB series or Mature Metal devices. I gave Dietmar the length that I wanted the tube part to be (57mm, 2.24") based on the length of the jailbird that I was wearing. I am ordering the new one 4mm longer to give a tad bit more room and also to allow a little room for the fixing inside the tube. My current tube is very snug and I don't think it would allow any extra metal in there. I also ordered the "comfort ring" this time. I don't notice any discomfort without it but I thought I would give it a try.

Another thing to consider is that nothing on my current steelheart is standard dimensions, even for a custom device. The cockring diameter (44mm), tube diameter (I think it is 32mm), and overall length (76mm by my measurement) are all not listed as options on his website. I also ordered a standalone penis ring in a non-listed size. He was very helpful though in accommodating what I was requesting. I am not sure if he charged extra for any of it or not as I kind of ordered pieces a-la-carte. Quite frankly I didn't really care because I was getting exactly what I wanted.

Sorry I kind of rambled on. Please ask clarifying questions if necessary.
