I thought I'd finally found the device I could wear long term. I ordered my Steelheart 2 in October of last year and have been wearing it pretty much full time since it arrived in November. Until about a month ago, it's been perfect. Totally secure (with at PA) and disconcertingly comfortable.
Unfortunately, it's started chafing right at the base of my cock on the bottom. I've taken the device off for several days at a time to let it heal but it comes right back. Today I took it off again to check things only to discover that I may not be able to actually wear this device long term. This one week after we started my longest lockup yet.
Now I have to decide what to do. Do I order another devices from Steelworxx with different measurements to accommodate or do I go in an entirely different direction, such as a Lori's tube?
All in all, a real bummer.

Did you get the "comfort" ring at the end of the tube? I've had similar issues, though not as bad as you, from an errent weld. I wonder if, instead of getting a whole new tube, you could send it back to Dietmar and have him either smooth it out or remove the ring altogether.

Sure did. The weld is actually quite smooth. I'm not sure how he would modify it to make it better. I think the problem may be that the spacing is just too narrow.
Re: Dammit.
It is good to hear from you again elwood, sorry about the circumstance though.
Maybe this is a place where the anatomical cock ring would be a benefit. I didn't like it on mine in large part because it made the spacing too wide. I haven't had any problem with the standard ring though but I don't yet have near the experience as you do with it.
I will say that this is one reason that I think I would always want more than just one ring size for any device that I wear. With my Jailbird I almost always wore one particular size ring but occasionally would switch to the larger ring if I was experiencing discomfort. This seemed to allow me to work through something (minor) without removing the device completely.
Good luck with working this out, keep us posted on what you discover.

Hi Atone. Good to hear from you. I actually have the anatomical ring as well. I think the problem is that the spacing between the bottom of the tube and the ring is just too small. At this poitn I think I"m probably going to follow Thumper's lead and just get a new one with different measurements. I think I'll ask for the spacing to be a little wider and the tube to be about 10mm shorter. Or maybe I'll try a Lori's tube. I don't know. It's exasperating but not altogether surprising.
