Some issues I have I would love feedback back on:
-it is too long so not useable to piss.
-I’m cool with girth pushing to the sides but really not sure about hygiene because I literally can not get in there to clean at all.
-the base ring had multiple sizes. I have big balls and had to use the largest one. But got myself down to the next one 2.1” vs 2.25”. However, I can still feel the ring pushing against my legs when I put them together

I tried one like yours one time. I don’t think it lasted 24 hours. Yes metal is easier to clean and plastic is lighter. I have multiple types and materials. Mainly so my kh can have a little fun with changing.

In my experience the two things that play an important role for me.

A) smaller is better.

B) I already wore ikingsky g strings and thongs. For me these offer great support for heavier cages. If I need to I can easily wear a g string under boxers.

As for your question number 3, a couple years ago my wife and I went shopping at a very high end shoe store ($1600 for a pair of shoes!). Anyway, they had a box of disposable nylon footies to wear as you tried on shoes. I liberated several and found that they work perfectly. You could get the same by cutting off the feet from a pair of nylons though they may unravel after awhile.
