so just from reading around, i realized that Urethral plug + long term wear = UTI.
but im still wondering, since most of the plugs i see are usually long, and they create a lot of frictuin inside the urethra.
my idea is- really short urethral plug, when the goal is to keep the pee hole in place and get a cleaner piss.

Interesting... I've always been curious about urethral plugs but have been reluctant to try because of the UTI risk. This might be a good alternative.

Despite the tube’s 52mm (2”) length, the cage shown above still goes back beyond the base ring, so it’s actually in quite deep.

It goes back only in line with the base ring, so is less deep. It’s comfy too and allows easy hygiene.
It seems a little risky to leave important places open to germs, so I’ve never slept in it, but have worn it through the day and to work - and urination is tidy.

Before putting my cage in, I sterilize it and then cooled down I pour betadine on the tube, and clean the tip of the foreskin with the betadine soap, I rinse the tube and put it to the urethra.

My latest one (third) is a Ternence from Amazon, very short and tight, but pretty well made. It has a solid tube that I was a little afraid of at first, but it goes in a treat with some lube and is actually much more comfortable than I expected. Longest I've had it on was 14 hours though, and that's probably my limit based on how the wife wants to play this.

Well after a few days of the tight cage with the tube, I have to say I like it a lot more than I expected I would. I expected I would have given up on it and just used the cage without the tube, but I tried that and I don't feel completely secure without it. I also tried switching back to my CB6000S while I was doing a little grinding on the Ternence, since the lock is difficult to get into place, and I had expected to leave that on for the day, but I felt "wrong", and now I'm back in the Ternence with the tube and happy. Wife is not entirely pleased with the idea of the tube, she's a former nurse, but she likes me locked during the day and if I'm happy, she'll accept that. Who would have known?

Do a search, there’s heaps of info in the forum on this and the answer generally is no. There are some people who have managed to be the exception that proves the rule but particularly newbies such as yourselves shouldn’t even consider this as a first step !!
