My key holder has asked me to present this solution here in case it may help other key holders!
The final iteration is simply a 1” band of elasticated fabric (as used in jogging bottoms and underpants waistbands) sewn into a loop with the same diameter as the narrowest part of the penis. This was important to get right, too tight caused problems with urination etc., and too loose, well not much point in having there as you could potentially wriggly back in undetected. It was also important about where along the shaft it stayed. Too far forward was incredibly uncomfortable as was too far back. I found that just behind the glands, with the skin resting in its normal natural position now means I can hardly feel it is there.
The way I connected this elasticated loop to the padlock was by using a large cable tie, pulled through on itself, to create a loop just big enough to get the padlock through. I then cut this to a length that, when attached to the padlock in situ, the end of the cable tie (nicely rounded off with a file) rested half way on the top of the band. (I tried too far forward and I could feel it digging in.)
I drilled three 0.5mm holes at the end the cable tie, which was now about ¾” long overall. I then stitched this to the band with many stitches and placed a small drop of superglue on the top of the stitching to keep ends from fraying.
It has been in position for thirteen days now in its final form with no problems at all. The only thing I would say is showering is a bit more time consuming trying to get things clean, but apart from that, the feeling of total security has taken this past 16 days to a much higher level – exactly what my KH wanted!
I’ve probably made about 10 of these in all, trying to get the fit just right. It certainly took a lot of patience from my KH, but she is VERY happy now knowing that she has absolute total control.
I’m not sure if I can place pictures here (not in situ obviously!) to explain things better, but I will make another one and take pictures if anybody wants me to, and it is OK with Tom.
Happy (but frustrating) days!!
