New User Needs Help and Tips Concerning Chafing

Post by jfry »

I bought the HT2 and it's very comfortable most of the time, but after several hours there is some chafing going on behind the ring, so on day one I woke my wife up at 2am to let me out. I thought the goal was to stay as dry as possible so the next day I put on a lot of baby powder before putting the device on, but same issue.

I have ordered the next size larger ring, but I'm not convinced that's the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I'm not looking for permanent scarring or anything like that.

I'm really hoping to get this under control as quickly as possible, as the wife has quickly taken to her role and I don't want her to cool to the idea.

Thanks in advance,

-Jeffrey

There are numerous threads here regarding this issue, recommending various lubes and creams. Options include baby oil, silicone-based lubes, and ointments/cremes such as Aveeno and A&D (IIRC). Many folks here have found one or another of these products helpful. Use the search function to find some of these threads and read more, or experiment with various products that will provide lubrication.

After a/some period of time, you may adjust and find the need for lubrication of the ring less necessary or completely unnecessary.
