Will the CB Curve cage fit the CB-6000 rings?

It would seem that the CB-6000 no longer really fits me. Even when soft, it's a little bit too smushed in there. I know it's supposed to be tight, but I feel like it wouldn't be safe leaving everything quite so scrunched inside for a long period of time. I've seen conflicting information on this, so does anyone know for certain if the Curve cage will fit on the CB-6000 rings?

The curve has the pins on the tube side. The base rings of the CB6K have the pins on the base ring. I tried to fit my curve to the base ring without the piece that has the pins. The pins of the curve match the holes of the base ring holes.

You may also have to do a little filing on the tube where the locking pin goes in. You will be trying to put an oval pin into a round hole. Mine fits tight and that would help with the side-to-side movement.

So, the answer is yes it will work. You will have to remove the pins from the part that the base ring is in, and maybe a little filing. Then it should go together.

I had the same problem with my 6000. I purchased a curve cage and it matches all of the accoutrements of the 6000 rings and pins.

The authentic CB6000 and Curve use the same ring assembly. The authentic models of both have an oval shape ring which prevent the lock from twisting.

If your CB6000 has a round lock pin, it is a chinese fake and will not be compatible with an authentic Curve cage.

The previous post be Locked by LRC seems to be referring to the previous model of the Curve, or the fake model (sometimes referred to as a CB-4000).

Mine is an old device. I've had it since about 2001. The CB6000 wasn't out yet.
