Bummed out... Anybody else had this happen?

Post by Harry Haversackers »

I received my first CD, a CB6000s from Kept For Her, two days ago, and immediately felt comfortable and at home in it. My wife had been skeptical about it, but once she saw it on me, then snapped the lock shut, she was smiling and ready to play the game.

Today, shortly after lunch, I felt a pinch, and dropped my pants to find that it had completely split at the welded joint. I have some room to spare in it when I'm flaccid, so it's not a matter of over-stressing the weld. I understand that they do split from time to time. Has anyone else had one come apart this soon after putting it into service?

BTW, The folks at Kept For Her responded to my e-mail very quickly and promised a replacement would be on the way at the first of the week. I had heard that their service was good, and that's been confirmed.

I have read about this splitting issue before. I don't know if this will make you feel better but...... I also ordered my CB6000s from Kept For Her. I have been wearing it 24/7 (except for LRC's playtime) for the last two months and have had no problems with this. I think the quality control at the CB factory is lacking. I had a CB3000 that split after about 3 weeks.

My partner still has a scar from a CB# fail. I don't trust them with something so important to me. ;-)

This happened to me also after 2 days. I did not send it back to company as was only home for couple weeks on leave, I fixed the problem myself with a little superglue. I also have some pinching from the ring, does anyone else have this problem.

Despite what the maker says those devices are made in a cheap factory in China, the only difference between those and the $5 fakes is that the fakes usually have worse QC, unless you get a good batch.
I bought a few in Beijing for $5 a pop and they were superb, never split or anything.
Yet I got a batch from Shanghai and they all were errors, misaligning pins, etc.

In the end it's simply a piece of plastic made in a factory for $2 in parts and $1 in labor, no matter how much you spend on it. Like Nike Shoes, I made a killing with those.

Just JB weld the thing or something, I used a zip tie, but when I get hard I'm too big for the tube anyways so it would some how end up pinching :O
