This is really a 2 part question:
First, is there any real problems for a 50+ year old to get a PA
and secondly, would I need to get a new Jailbird?
PA Question
Re: PA Question
I can just try to answer the first question. Although I am only mid-thirty, I don't think it is a problem to get any piercing or a PA at an age 50+ if you are in general good health. The PA itself is a very uncomplicated piercing with a very short healing time. If you get it done you should give it enough time to heal before using it for chastity play. I myself got circumcised and got the PA beginning of this year and there were/are no problems.
Re: PA Question
Theoretically, no, assuming you don't have any medical issues that might interfere with healing.Tutor wrote:This is really a 2 part question:

You definitely will want things to fully heal before going back into chastity. PA is among the fastest healing piercings, but that's still at least 6 weeks--probably more at 50+.
Looking at the Jailbird design, the odds of you of wearing your PA while in it, look pretty good. But you'll want your length measurement to be reasonably close to your flaccid length. PA's--at least my PA--stretch relatively readily. If you hook the ring around one of those end bars and your flaccid cock retracts too much, with the ring looped around one of the end bars, you'll be tugging on the piercing and potentially weakening it.
I don't have a MM, but a PA-specific device--Steelworxx Looker 3. Completely flaccid, I've got about 5mm, maybe a little more, of room between my glans and the end of the device. That's not proving to be an issue for me--just want you to be careful about too much of a gap. Listen to your body.
Finally, currently my PA gauge is pretty big--I had my PA many years before discovering chastity--so evaluate within that context. The larger the gauge, the more 'spread-out' the stresses are on your piercing. You'll probably get pierced at a 10- or 8-gauge, which is relatively narrow (and you wouldn't want to get pierced at a higher gauge IMO). If that narrower gauge is stressing the piercing, then you could 1) go device free for a while and work on stretching the piercing 2) take the piercing out and let it seal 3) correct the cage length.
Re: PA Question
Thx for the responses, I was looking at getting a 10 gauge, how the Jailbird currently sits Iit appears that the piercing will sit between the bars and hang,,, I don't perceive me wanting to try and sneak out the back of the device with the pierce in so I won't be hooking it to anything.
