Yeah, I would at least want a more open end. I think the 'revenge' is like that. If the bars were more like on a jailbird I probably would have ordered one already. I don't think the way he does the end would allow me to pee standing up and I really need to be able to do that. Unfortunately that is a show stopper for me.

I am anxiously waiting to hear from them too.

My main concern with the steelheart is peeing standing. I have to be able to pee when out in the field. For me that could be a porta-potty (no way I am sitting in one of those) or even a tree line (literally in the field). And when I have to go, I have to go. Not sure why but a while back (almost 20 years) something changed and my bladder just doesn't cooperate anymore.

My other concern is hygiene. I am sure I could keep the SH clean but I really just don't want to have to put that much effort in to it. I did fine with the CB-3000 but just don't want to go back to that. The jailbird is so easy to clean that I just don't have to worry about it.

I have actually wondered if I could use something like 'The Looker' but without the urethra insert. As much as I like the idea from a hottness and security factor I just don't think it would be conducive to long term wear.
