One thing I am struggling with that thought someone may be able to help with.....
I find that the spiral steel cage I wear is excellent. There is just no way that I would be able to get my balls free without a key but find that if I wanted I would still be able to pull my cock out of the back of the ring. Is there anyway to stop this other than a pa piercing?

Only if you can tolerate a *very* tight A-ring.

After some time of attempting to 'train' by using progressively smaller rings, I once again tried the smallest ring that came with the CB-3k. It is the only one that I absolutely cannot pull out of. Didn't even make it thru one night, got a nasty red welt/bruise/abrasion from nocturnal erections. It's fine during the day when I'm awake and can exert some mental control, but when I'm sleeping...forget it, the damn thing just grows too big and too strong (never thought I'd hear myself say *that*...always thought it should be a couple inches more, though Mrs. Twisted has always insisted that it's already a tad too much for her sometimes...but I think that she's just a bit smaller inside than most...maybe my perception has been warped by watching too many big-dicked porn stars boffing over-stretched women).

Recently experimented with shrink tubing to try to overcome the problem with the hinge rivets, didn't work out too well. The only sizes I could get were either too small or too big. Small one wouldn't go on at all, big one wouldn't shrink enough and got stiff. Looked for some surgical tubing (replacement bands for Wrist Rocket slingshot) but the store that carried them changed inventory and didn't have any in stock. Tried cutting the fingers from latex surgical gloves and found that 2-3 layers provides sufficient protection, but are too loose and floppy. Guess I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and order a new unit with the new-style 3-piece rings. I really think that a wider, flatter ring with beveled edges might solve the problem.

This is something that has intrigued me as well.

I have had similar experiences with shifting down in ring size—it works great until you wake up with a cold sack the next morning. The only thing that has worked until just recently was taking a security insert (KSD-G3) and shaving down the front tab so it was nearly flat. It takes away just enough of the tube diameter and with the top piece of the insert, provides just enough friction to make pull-out very tricky. Reentry is even more difficult, setting up a situation where the price is often not worth it. One of the nice things about the KSD-3 was that it kept me at the end of the tube almost constantly and in a somewhat excited state which made pullout not an option.

The KSD-3 still causes a bit of edema after about 40 hours of constant use. (Before I shaved the front tab down to nothing there was quite a bit more. I think that the space between the two tabs on the KSDs as they come provides a pocket for fluid to collect.)

Just on Friday though I came up with (possibly) another solution. I've always been afraid to load up my 6000s without a spacer. I've been using the smallest for quite some time and just for the heck of it I wondered how tight things would get without it. To my surprise the pinch factor is non-existant.

The real benefit though (so far) is this. The tube of the 6000s constricts my shaft even in its most flaccid state and typically anything stuffed in to the head of the tube stays there unless I really make an effort to pull it out back through the shaft. As a result of the tube being able to travel now (because there is no spacer) it seems as if there is a bit of action on the central portion of my shaft—which has resulted in me being right at the end of the tube in a state where pull out is impossible.

Time will tell if this is a real solution. It hasn't been discussed between us yet but I believe that I could convince my KH that a PA piercing is the way to go and that of course is the ultimate solution.

Ok, I cannot take credit for this but I did see this some months ago. I tried it and it worked pretty well for about two week straight before I developed a red mark.

I went to my local hardware store and picked up several stretchable rubber O-Rings from the plumbing section. I then picked up 4 inches of that Sterling Silver rope chain you buy by the inch. I picked out the O-Ring that would just slip over the head of my flaccid penis and connected the rope chain to the ring. You have to be very careful when you close the loop onto the O-Ring making sure it is very smooth. I used a set of very fine metal files. When it's time to be locked up just slip the O-Ring over the head of your penis, feed the other end of the chain thru the slit at the end of the CB6000 tube. Get yourself in place and then just loop the other end of the chain thru the padlock and you're done. I was unable to pull myself out of the tube. The O-Ring kept the head of my penis at the end of the tube and would stretch a bit but would not come off. If for some reason I was able to get the O-Ring off my penis there would be no way I could get it back on without removing the cage.

Like I said it worked for me on a limited basis when I was in my CB6000s.
