Im new to the chastity scene though i have viewed it from afar for a while now, and i have been able to convince my partner to join in it with me, but i have some general questions that i had and thought that the best way to get answer's were from a group of experienced people. I plan on getting a frenulum piercing (both for its ease of piercing and for general concern on my own part) soon and am looking for a device that fits with my unique (or general as it may be) needs, My partner and i live a pretty active lifestyle and would need something light and non bulky as to cause problems in our day to day lives (jogging, walking , etc) , something that would allow for an erection (something my partner enjoys , teasing and keeping me that way for as long as possible) but prevent me from having to easy of a time to take care of my carnal desires possibly with a ring on the top though this would be a mere boon, something with an internal locking device ( again active lifestyle and general ease as to not have a clanking lock which would distract us from our entertainment)and withing a decent price range, not to be a cheapskate with my *ahem* family jewels but we would like to be conscious of what we spend. And after that i am not sure what i really need to think of , my other cursory questions would be at what gauge would the frenulum piercing need to be , and other sage advice would be appreciated , this is merely a scouting and exploration question until we have settled all the details out. Ok, well there are a number of things to go through... That is a pretty extensive post 
First of all, define what you mean by a decent price range. What are you willing to spend? Chastity devices can range from $50 into the thousands. To start off with, you're not going to get even a half decent device for less than $200-$300.The reality is that chastity is a lot of trial and error and you will almost certainly not get it right on your first try, especially when it comes to custom sized devices. There is only so much the community can guide you when it comes to this, simply because everyone is *so* different that what works for me will almost definitely not work for you.
On the topic of money, one of the links you supplied was for Steelwerks Extreme. I can tell you that this company is on the higher end of the price range. His base device sells for about $1k CAD which is expensive enough, but it doesn't suit most people's needs and he focuses more on custom solutions charging a rate of $50 per hour. If you're looking for something very, very specific and/or that you can't find anywhere else... he is the man to go to, but you have to be willing to pony up some serious cash to get it. He'll even do titanium devices if you're looking for a really light weight solution. That's about as custom as it comes. I don't know of anyone else who works with titanium. Anyway, he quoted me $3k for a fairly basic device and said to add 50% if I wanted it titanium. I could pay 5 months mortgage with that money, and there's still no gaurantee it will work.
The device in the xtube video is a Lori's tube. They also range quite a bit price wise. I have a #7 which I purchased for about $700. It's sitting in my closet gathering dust. Did not work for me on a number of levels and I would not recommend them. That said, there are many out there who swear by them.
On the topic of piercings, do a lot of homework on this topic before you do anything. You'll find that a lot of chastity solutions are very much geared towards those with a Prince Albert piercing and not so much for those with a frenum. This is because the overwhelming majority of those in the community with piercings have Prince Alberts. This is fine, but it just means that sometimes finding solutions for the frenum can be a bit difficult and you'll certainly need to use your imagination. I have a frenum, for the record. As far as what gauge to get - I started out with a 14 gauge and stretched up to a 6 over the course of a couple of months. Most chastity manufacurers recommend at least an 8 gauge.
Your specifications are not entirely specific, many of us have similar concerns, but I will say that you should be prepared to sacrifice some of those concerns in favor of others. Keep in mind that you are talking about locking something onto your body for an extended period of time. It is not going to be perfect. For instance, as far as security goes the metal devices are in a league of their own compared to the plastic devices, but they are also more expensive and by far heavier. The size of your device will play into the weight of the device quite a bit when you're dealing with metal devices. In this case, you may be forced to sacrifice having a light weight device for something that takes security more seriously.
I don't have any experience working out, jogging, or being generally active while wearing a chastity device as that's never really been a concern of mine... others might want to weigh in here, but I would imagine (and have heard) that a pair of tight fitting boxer briefs should keep everything compact enough that it doesn't move around too much when you're being active. The only thing I can tell you on this topic is that I could jump around without a problem while wearing a plastic device like the cb3000/6000, but I never really did anything extensive.
I've always been able to get an erection in any device I've worn. Be warned this can lead to problems all on its own. Even in a secured device you may be able to "jack the cage" to orgasm. I could do this with my Lori. My next device is a lot smaller, and my goal is to actually prevent an erection entirely for that reason and a few others. My wife likes to see my erections, too, but that's why she has the key and can take it off whenever she wants to tease me before putting me back in again... so I wouldn't be *too* concerned with being able to get a hard on while actually wearing the device.
Finally, devices with integrated locks (non-padlock) are not really the norm so that really narrows down your choices quite a bit. The only ones I can think of off the top of my head are Lori's Tubes, Steelworxx (steelworxx.de), and Steelwerks Extreme. There may be a couple of others, but it suffices to say that the majority of manufacturers don't do this. It's usually presented in the form of an add on and that means you have to pay more $$$ for that feature. All except Steelworxx use security screws for this purpose, which I personally don't trust at all mainly from my experiences with the Lori's tube. Steelworxx did not have anything out of the box that would work for a frenum. They have an insert that has a hook on the end and is supposed to stop you from pulling out but I don't buy that that will work. I ended up having designing and having him build a custom insert for my device. Still not sure if it is going to work or not.
That said, the one thing I will mention to you is that places like Lori's Tubes, Steelworxx, Mature Metal, etc - they are custom device manufacturers. Keep that in mind. What you see is not all they are capable of doing. If you see a device that meets 90% of your specifications but you'd like to make some modifications - speak up. They will charge you a bit extra, though, of course.

Wow, chaste did a great job teasing apart the density of your post.
In terms of piercing, IMO you really just want to go with the recommendation of your piercer. I can't speak to frenulum piercings, but PAs will normally be pierced in the 10 gauge range. The tissue there sizes up easily, so if you're looking for larger gauges, I wouldn't be too worried... it's just a matter of time in my experience. Smaller gauges are lighter but, if tugged, put more stress on the tissue. Larger gauges are heavier, but spread the pressure out better. The veterans on here who've had transverse-type piercings (if that's the style of piercing you're after) have reported mixed results--generally ending removing the piercing.
Let the piercing heal completely before stressing it.
As far as devices, I strongly recommend getting a plastic device before investing in a custom metal device. Don't get me wrong--metal is way better, but the plastic devices let you learn the ring, tube, and length sizes that work for your body. Think of it as a down payment on your metal device.

Thank you chaste that really did help alot with many of the questions i had and id apologize for the length of the post, i do seem to ramble on sometimes. my real range on a device was going to be from around 100 to mid 400 , but as you said with a first device i wanted to go low price and work out the dimenssions and waht works best for us. We mos certainly are all different hence the fun and problem with so many things in life as well as chastity.
I did send a message to both steelworx and lori in an attempt to ask them questions on these basic qualification but i as of now have not recieved a response from either so i may sned them again. (ive had a niggling feeling that they may either have not recieved it or are not interested unless im an imediate buyer). At the moment i think that spending over 500 would both be fool hardy and reckless , especially since we are not even sure if this will work in our desired ways.
I believe the device in the video is a #3 but itt wasnt one i had seen before and so i thought it may be a customized version, i liked the general look aof it and cow it covered everything but looked light as well, but that is all from a small observation, i have yet to get confirmation. speaking to chaste waht problems accured with yours for my general knowledege?

I will have to look into prince alberts and the less expensiv plastic cage which looked like a good start was as such , i have looked for a plastic frennum with no success to show for it.

curently the plan is to prevent easy mastrubation which is a flaw of mine but with a cage i plan to work on excersizing on not doing that as well as pleasign my keholder in control of my orgasms, and when i said that the keyholder liked to see me hard i ment all the time, (ie prefers to jeep me hard and teased all day long with nary but a few social situation that demand respect, but other than those even in public)

P.s due to prompting i looked outside my previous limits and stumbled on birdlocked which i had passed over before, is this a viable solution to my above quondries? i noticed one with a pa attachment which leads me to thing that i could either get that or a maxi (whatever fits best to my needs) and either put a frenum piercing through the hole available for the cord or make my own hole? would this cause damage or rough edges? is there a modification area i should look into? thanks once again

If you get the sizing right, my experience with the Steelworxx Locking Dual Cock Ring would give you and your partner what you seek.

1) Within 24 hours of wearing the device, I was able to defeat the "security screw" mechanism with a simple screw driver used in my profession which happened to be sitting on my computer desk after I came home that night.speaking to chaste waht problems accured with yours for my general knowledege?
2) The device's design is just all wrong. I'm talking mostly about how the tube portion connects to the ring. Whose penis points directly out all day long? This essentially means the ring doesn't sit where it's supposed to.
3) The sizing was just all wrong. How the measurements are used is not clear and most certainly produces innacurate results. I should have clued into this, so I take full responsibility, but it suffices to say she probably makes quite a bit of money charging people for adjustments to her devices due to incorrect measurements.
I was asked for a shaft measurement from the base to before where the head starts - this was 3", but, I was told (In her own words) "We make very few devices with a shaft of 3" more offen they are 2 1/2" to 2 3/4"
I measured countless times over the course of several days, this was not a careless one off measurement. My measurement was correct. None the less, I erred on the side of caution and decided to take her advice. I went with 2 3/4 shaft.
The device ended up being over 5 inches in length.
The problem here is that the shaft measurement is actually used for the opening of the tube to where the head starts (so very literally the shaft of the device), but you're asked for a "shaft measurement". My shaft measurement and the shaft of the device are two very, very different measurements. Once you add the depth of the ring, as well as the gap between the ring and the actual tube, 2.75 inches is now a very incorrect measurement. The correct measurement would have been 2.75 minus the depth of the ring and the gap. No wonder she attempts to correct your measurement by advising you to go 1/4 - 1/2 inch shorter.
On top of that, the head cage portion is essentially guessed at based on your other measurements, so there was some inaccuracy there as well.
4) Device gave me nasty rashes after being in contact with my skin for mere moments. Worst part is, I didn't realize this until after I had been wearing the device for about 24 hours. I thought I had a metal allergy, but at this point I'm not sure. I've been told that a lot of people are badly allergic to the products that jewelers use to polish their jewelry and they are supposed to clean it off thoroughly but sometimes they don't clean it well enough and the result is rashes, rashes, rashes.
I'm not sure if this is the case or not, but I can tell you I no longer get rashes while wearing the device. I've worn it a decent amoung despite the rashes and the other problems - kept thinking I could fix it. I was wrong. Regardless, my steelworxx is coming to me powder coated.
5) As I mentioned earlier, I could "jack" the cage to orgasm.
6) Placement of the frenum bar was bad. Another user recently mentioned this and I replied to his post confirming, but basically once you get hard, the penis kind of just fills out where ever it can go. Due to the design, this was where the frenum bar was because it's basically open underneath there. Caused some minor swelling for me within a short period of time, and the area there was "hard" to the touch after taking the device off... I could certainly see it being a big problem with long term wear.
So yeah, just a few things.
I don't know what the starting gauge is for frenum piercings, or if there even is one. I did it myself (not advising or endorsing that), didn't really know what I was doing and didn't even really understand the concept of gauges. I just sort of ordered a needle and CBR online and set myself to the task of putting a hole in my cock... it happened to be 14 gauge. Sizing from there to 8 was extremely easy and quick. Took a couple of weeks I think, but that's abnormal. Sizing from 8 to 6 was the worst.
I mean that you have to be willing to make concessions. You and your future KH have an idea of your perfect device, or at least what you'd like to see in a device based on your current knowledge. What I mean is, in order to achive one of the things you absolutely must have in a device, you might have to concede one of the other attributes. For instance, for me security is a really big deal. It's top priority. Comfort is also a really big deal, but I am 100% willing to sacrifice having a super comfortable device for a device that is extremely secure. I'll get used to the discomfort, but I can't do anything about the security. In your case, your top concern might be comfort during physical activity, but you might not be able to achieve this as well as top notch security. You have to decide what's most important. Oh, and as far as the lock is concerned... the clicky clacky problem can be solved with a simple elastic band to pin the lock against the tube of the device. That's what most people do and it works well.

Well it seems that over all getting a steel device or metal in general as it may be is a laborious and often trial and error process, im sorry you had such problems with yours, and thank you for sharing, i will have to definitely learn from that and try to go on from there. Speaking of piercings me and my soon to be keyholder ahve spoken and it was decided for me that i would get a Prince Albert after hearing back from another site as well as steel worxx's Chris speaking of how the frenum may have difficulty with weight, and until we find a device in steel that we like we will try a plastic or silicone one that is preferred by us both, at the moment , comfort outweighs security as this is a first device and it is decided that my equipment is wanted to be kept in good shape, though security is a close second and will be monitored thoroughly.

and i agree with you chaste, my comfort is second to that of my keyholders preferences , though i am lucky and our preferences actually matched in this as comfort came before security for the both of us, and i am going to be tested and thoroughly watched either way
