I have the CD waiting unopened in my nightstand. Despite my eagerness to just dive in we want to do this right. So here are some thoughts/concerns:
1. Ring size - I've played with neoprene cock rings and found 1 1/2 inches to be too tight and 1 3/4 inches allows my testicles to escape. I'm thinking to start with the 1 5/8 ring and if it's still too tight, switch to the 1 3/4 and hope a narrow gap keeps things in place.
2. The seam - I've read a recommendation (somewhere on these forums?) to deliberately split the CB6000 and reseal it with superglue for a stronger bond. I'm a little hesitant to do this - I know I'll mar the seam. Can't I just do this later if it splits? After giving it a thorough cleaning? And doesn't it have a one year warranty? If I'm still wearing it a year from now I'm planning on switching to metal anyway.
3. The padlock - I have to do something about the noise. Can't have the kids hearing me clank around the house. I'm going to run out later and shop for a rubber coated lock, if such things are available. If not, I'll look for heat-shrink tubing.
I guess that's about it. I think I've incorporated the major advice I've come across, but if anyone has any suggestions/thoughts I've overlooked, I'd appreciate the input.

Re: Preparing for CB6000S
1). Just start with the largest ring, you can always go smaller, especially if you are planning on sleeping in it.
2). Don't split the seam, I've been in mine for over a year with no issues. If I ever have one I will glue it then, Jo point in taking that risk.
3). Padlock is a little noisy and sticks out under some cloths. I used a rubberband for a while to keep it tight to the cage, but that always ended up sliding up under my penis and chaffing. I switched to the plastic screw lock from keptforher.com, it works great, no noise, low profile.
If you haven't read it over and over yet, make sure you get silicone lube for in the cage and around the ring. It makes chaste life so much more pleasant.

1. Start with the 1 5/8 ring. The test will be it you get thru the night without much pain. Your body will adjust over time to a smaller ring.
2. If you purchased the real thing and not a Chineese copy you should be fine. Don't break it just to re-glue it.
3. Had the same trouble. When I got up in the middle of the night my wife/KH was able to track me thru the house

I agree with the recomemdation to use something around the base ring. I applied baby oil gel with a q-tip.
Sounds like you are off to a good start. Good Luck

Happily secured since 4/2010

Re: Preparing for CB6000S
If your lock is making that much noise it sounds like the post isn't tight enough. There should be a really thin spacer that you might need in some situations. If you don't need the gap put it on after the tube but before the lock. You want the whole assembly to be real solid when it is locked. This will help with durability (less flexing), comfort (less pinching), and security (the gap will stay tight).

Re: Preparing for CB6000S
Atone,
My experience with the lock making noise is from my attempts with the CB-3000 several years ago. My wife locked me in the CB-6000s last night and the difference between the two devices is night and day. No noise or movement from the lock, no discomfort. I slept in it easily last night - something I could never do in the 3000.
I've been wanting to write a rather long post with a blow-by-blow account of what happened last night but I've just been too damn busy. Hopefully tomorrow.
For now, let me just say it was incredible. Still is.

Re: Preparing for CB6000S
Im new to the game lol.
But my idea about the loud clanking
Noise from the lock is small cable ties.
Put it on and my KH can snip it off
When she needs to release me.
Fyi. No noise especially at work.
