Successful reversal of a vasectomy depends on the individual, and the manner in which the vasectomy was performed. If it was done with the possibility in mind that reversal might be desirable in the future, then it might be more successful than otherwise.

You really need to talk to the surgeon who performed it, he/she is really the only one who can provide a realistic and truly helpful answer.

Vasectomy is considred a PERMANENT form of contraception. yes technically the vas deferens can re sticthed but any honest surgeon will tell you to expect it to fail and be happy if it works.

However having said that as an expectation setting excercise... there is a UK clininc that is achieveing 90% success rate... which is nothing short of amazing. They offer a sperm collection at the time of the reversal too which can then be cryogenically stored. The operation costs £3000 and the sperm freezing £1250.

A buddy of mine had this done at this clinic, he was in the 10% of failures... and £4000 lighter... Shit happens
