That's not a problem with the Steelheart. I do it several times a day. ;)

Not sure about the SH2.

It's comparable to a CB6K, IMO. If that was too much of a hassle, then I'd avoid the SH.

Yup, I'm with you on that. Using our hand-held shower massager, and occasional application of shampoo, I can keep something enclosed clean, but it inevitably gets a bit rank. And anywhere it consistently fits very closely gets no air, and anyplace that's not well aerated is where the icky and smelly bacteria like to live. The openness of the JB means that everything gets instantly well cleaned with just soap, and everything stays dry.

Well, I've been in mine pretty much 24/7 for months at a time and have never had an issue. I wash it 1.5 times a day, at least once with anti-bacterial shower gel. No issues with icky and smelly bacteria of any kind.

Of course, common sense in required. It will start to smell if I don't keep it clean. It does require tending. It's really no different than any of the polycarbonate devices on the market in that regard.

The JB is, obviously, easier to clean up, but in the few days I wore it I didn't notice a huge difference in it *needing* to be cleaned. It's still attached to where the urine comes out and still gets some on it over the course of the day. The only benefit of the open cage was that it saved me 3-5 minutes in the shower every morning.

@Orko

My steelheart has an a-ring of 45mm, tube length of 110mm and a tube diameter of 35mm. I measured mine by taking measurements of my CB3000 with a pair of calipers. For the a-ring, my CB3000 preference was the 47mm ring. Based on Thumper's suggestion, I went down one size to 45mm. The others are a straight copy of the measurements of a CB3000.

It fits like a charm. Very happy with it so far. I've been wearing it now for about 24 hours. It's still very comfortable, no edema. I'm thrilled.

If you have a PA, get the "pa fixing" for sure. it will make the device truly inescapable without a key or some serious tools (and nontrivial risk of injury).

I'm uncircumcised, so the hygiene issue will be paramount. I would have gone for the more open Revenge or similar, except that I was afraid of pinching with the PA fixing. With the PA fixing to hold things in place, I should be able to retract the foreskin for a good daily cleaning. The PA itself might work to keep the foreskin retracted when in the tube. My goals are modest; if I have to remove the device every week for cleaning that's OK.
