helpful posts; thanks all.
i'm about a week away from geting the PA done, and of course i want to order a new device...probably the day after the piercing. the device'll probably take at least a few weeks to arrive (way too much time), at which point i fully expect myself to be completely stretched and healed. to hell with safety anyway.
but then i wonder, "what's the rush?"
after the piercing, i'm probably not going to be inclined or able to waste any vital fluid for a while...no device needed then...
and i guess the largest gauge i can get pierced at is 10 (2.6mm)?
think the smallest diameter available for the plug / pin for the securo is 8mm (0 gauge??) --these figures are taken from wikipedia -- and if they are accurate, it would probably take a long time to stretch from a 10 gauge to a 0 gauge. but then, maybe only the diameter of the securo's plug is 8mm, and the PA pin could be smaller? I've worn 8mm urethral plugs all day long with no discomfort.
still, after reading all your input, the securo seems too heavy a load for a new piercing to carry. but damn it's a cool looking design. wonder why i can't find much in the way of reviews?
if i wanted to know more about the securo (and the looker 3), can someone tell me the best place on this website to post questions?
thanks, and i appreciate the feedback you've already provided...definitely given me a lot to think about

Re: steelworxx upgrade
Reading the web page for the securo devices the 8 and 10mm refers to the urethral plug then you specify the PA pin size. The securo 1 has 3mm as its smallest size so I'd expect you'd be able to secure it with a 3am.
Having worn the tube I would say that 3mm is the absolute smallest that you'd want. I would suggest 4 as it's going to be supporting the weight and I feel that 4mm isn't likely to have the cheese cutter effect!
Delivery time is a very real factor in these things. I think that it's 7 weeks at present so if you wanted to order it now you'd probably still be waiting even after healing!
I don't think there are many reviews, I've not been able to find any. It's a new product and as such I don't think many have been sold.
The custom tube that I bought 2nd hand is a thing of beauty. The construction quality is excellent. As I've said the only thing wrong with it is the tube diameter is too wide (I'm slim it would seem!)
With the kindest of regards

Re: steelworxx upgrade
Coming back to the subject of steelworxx, the securo cage 1 to be precise..
Santas little elves brought me one , so I thought I'd share the first hands-on experiences, as there has not been much of discussion about this type of products.
The craftmanship is again excellent, it's a beautiful little helmet.
The only problem is that when you're only wearing a helmet, the body is left naked and there's too much shaft left to tickle - you probably know what I mean.
So though it's a comfortable thing, it's more of an accessory than a chastity device. I actually had an accident - of course I had to test it right away - and exploded all over the place
This was the first time I had relieved myself since last summer. I really prefer my spouse to have control over the matter, which is pretty much what this thing is about. For me it's also a lot more fun when the device is not just symbolic but it actually works.
So, back in the Looker03, which seems unbeatable.
Although I can't at the moment see myself wearing the securo cage too much for aforementioned reasons, there might still be time and place for it, and overall it was not too bad of an investment since, already having the PA lock, I ordered just the plain cage and saved half of the list price..

Thanks for the input, maff2k and Albert Steel. At this point, I'm seriously considering the tube jacket. I think a 0g (8mm) lock would work best for me. Back in September, I got pierced at 6g, and am now at 2, so will be ready to order after one more stretch.
I will post a modified version of this reply as a new post, as my question now is: what's the best way to measure for the inside diameter of the tube jacket? Flaccid? Fully erect? Halfway in between??

Also consider you are looking at 8 weeks delivery now so that may affect your order/next stretch
