making a hinged ring solid

Having managed to shorten my device by crimping the rings together i wonder if anybody has tried epoxy gluing the hinge and top of a hinged ring to create a solid one ? i was thinking of 5 minute Araldite or something ? but i did wonder how that would go against the skin ?

I used JB Weld on a couple of rings for a CB3k, just at the bottom where the hinge is and extending a good bit to either side of the hinge. Looks ugly but works fine, no irritation. (The hinges had broken so I decided to experiment.)

It's a shame there isn't a solid base ring out there which accepts the pins from the hinged ring devices, as our choice from DH Gate, etc, would dramatically increase, for those of us who dislike the hinge.

And vicey-versey, as *I* would like to see a MM device *with* a hinged ring and a pin system similar to the CB3k. I think [for me] a wider, flatter hinged ring could be pretty darn near impossible to pull out of, and would result in less discomfort during nocturnal erections. I can't pull out of the smallest ring of the CB3k, but the narrowness of the ring makes it rather painful during nocturnal erections (and the design of the hinge, and the rivet, is somewhat uncomfortable too). Being small enough that I can't pull out of it, if it were solid I wouldn't be able to get *into* it either. Alas, still in search of the Holy Grail...

Well MsM has had me order this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J1B ... UTF8&psc=1 with an extra base ring. It's the cheapest solid base ring unit i could find and although the style isn't particularly great it's a cheap trial of a solid ring !!
