Re: Conventional Wisdom of MC Device Acquisition

I think a lot of people get so concerned about "security" that they overthink and order a device that is clearly too small. My base ring is 1 3/4" diameter and is, I think 1/8" too large. Bear in mind that 1/8" less in diameter equates to almost 1/2" less circumference. So, given the common wisdom here, my JB is insecure since pullout should be that much easier. Put back won't be easier.

I've been in the shortened (went from 1 3/4" long to 1 1/4" long) cage for a couple of months now. I can't self-stimulate at all. Mrs. Lion can't really stimulate me through the cage either. So as far as being effective in preventing erection or other in-cage amusements, it is completely effective.

I would send the cage back to get a smaller base ring, but Mrs. Lion really hates dealing with the Chinese cage that I have. While waiting to get the JB shortened, she had a hard time getting the Chinese cage on me. I know, she could just leave me in it until the JB is returned. Fortunately, she hasn't suggested (threatened?) that.

Yes, I can get two fingers up to the first knuckle into the base ring (on top where my penis enters the cage), but only one finger on the side or bottom. I'm still undecided if I should try to go down 1/8".

In case it wasn't clear, because I've realized I didn't say so specifically, the LCR might be a good stepping stone to a more expensive custom device. Yes, it's money spent, but for the peace of mind in knowing that the actual device will work, I think it's been a good investment.

Sorry. Locking Cock Ring. I had mentioned it by its full name a few posts earlier.

I'm glad I spent several months in plastic before moving up to my Jailbird, which arrived last week. It took about a month experimenting with various ring sizes, spacers, etc. to get to the point where I was comfortable 24/7 in my CB, and I still made a few adjustments in the interim to find what amounted to the perfect fit in the CB. I used my CB measurements in conjunction with the MM instructions when ordering my jailbird and after being continually locked in the Jailbird for 5 days straight now it seems I got the measurements nearly spot on the first time. I credit that with fiddling with the CB first. I'm almost positive I would have ended up with a Jailbird that was too long and too large in diameter, and possibly with a base ring one size too small, had I just used the instructions from MM. It would have worked I'm sure, but would not have fit nearly as well as what I ended up with. Also, while the CB has been relegated to the bottom of the toy box for now, I don't consider the purchase a waste as I have a device I can travel with in addition to the everyday Jailbird.

And, not that there aren't enough recommendations on this site already for the MM devices, but I'll recommend them again for anyone on the fence. Superbly comfortable, easy to clean, compact, and He loves to see and feel my attempted erections in the cage (which was lacking in the fully enclosed CB). This is truly a device that never needs to come off except at His discretion whereas with the CB I knew I was going to be unlocked at the very least once a week for cleaning.
