Re: Should I be concerned?

While I was waiting for my HT to arrive, I bought a cheap device off of eBay with a 45mm ring. The tight fit and discomfort had me concerned so I ordered a 50mm ring as well as the 45. When I started wearing the HT I used the 50mm, but could pop out fairly easily. Having to ask for the key to get back in was a pain. Within 2 weeks I noticed that it was rather loose, so I went down to the 45 and have stayed with that ever since. A bit of a pinch at first, it's now quite comfortable.

Use silicone lube under and in front of the ring on the scrotum. Apply it several times a day if needed while your body becomes used to it being there and stretches a bit. I now apply only first thing in the day after showering when I put it back on.

I also noticed a bit of tenderness where the tube pushes into me. A little lube up there under the end of the tube allows the tube to slide over the skin instead of bunching it up and grabbing. Much more comfortable.

One thing I would suggest that you not do is to reach under the tube to lubricate or dry. The upward force spreads the tube and ring at the keystone. Mine broke where the magic locker goes through the end of the tube. The resin is thin, and when warm say from a hot day or hot shower, will soften. Mine broke and had to be replaced. The answer for me is to take it off before showering.

I find that mild lotion around the edges of everything works best for comfort myself. Not a fan of silicon lube, feels gritty later on and smells in my opinion.

Yeh, I tried lotion and Burts Mama Bee oil first. The former didn't work, the later did smell. I don't notice anything with silicone lube (dimethicone).

I suggest you try to find out why you are getting irritated. It's not the best idea to constantly lube an area. Your skin needs to be dry most of the time. This may be a fit issue or a property of the device itself. If you are locked 24/7, it may pay to look into steel. My Jail Bird needs no lube or other aid. 99% of the time I don't even know it is on. Comfort is critical for health as well as being able to wear a device long term.

I commute about 80 miles round trip a day on a bike. I'm locked in a CB6000s, so not an apples to apples comparison, but it did take some getting used to. I find I need a minute once I get on the bike to adjust to a comfortable position. I find that pulling the tube to one side so that it is effectively pointed off the seat keeps the cage from pressing into me uncomfortably while I'm riding.

KydenHeart:

Attached is a modification I did to my HT2 to alleviate the flat section of the tube where it meets the groin behind the ring. This flat section causes a pressure point that can create a sore spot on the back of your penis that eventually caused a straight line scab on me. If you get really excited and hard for good lengths of time, I am sure that this can happen to anyone. I ride all the time and also experienced the pulling on the groin issue you described. I think this flat spot is there as help against pullout although I could pull out too easily anyway so I have since put it on the shelf with other devices to gather dust and have gone back to my trusty old cheap modded device. If you use files and/or sandpaper like I did to do this mod, you will immediately see the groin pulling disappear along with any soreness in this area.

A solution I used for the soreness in back of the scrotum was to heat the base ring in a pan of hot water and flatten it out more so it wasn't as much in the anatomical shape like it came. This could also help alleviate the base ring from feeling too tight.

As far as lube goes, several years ago after trying several types, I settled on A&D ointment. Good stuff. A little goes a long way and it also heals if any skin irritation occurs. You may need to lube often in the beginning as I think most people do, but you will you less and less as time goes on and your body acclimates.

I enjoyed the "colourful" discussion above!
I could never imagine that a caged cock & balls can be so colourful!
No wonder chastity brings back colours in sex life as well!

Thanks a lot for the idea. I'm loath to doing any mods just yet. First try with first device, wana let things go for a little. Nice to know I have this to fall back on though.

Thanks for the tip. Glad to hear other riders found ways to deal without losing either thing they love. Question, do you sit more sports stile or upright? I ride a Suzuki katana so very sporty. I feel more upright would be easier.

Thanks for all the advice guys keep them coming!

I ride a Sportster currently, so upright. I would imagine the forward riding position of the Katana would be a bit more of a challenge, but I'm sure with some practice you'll be able to find a comfortable way to position the cage.
