Hi first off I just want to say thanks to mellyshubby for all the info....also the others that chimed in to help me get sizing right...thank you.
The ht shipped to my door in 4 days which is pretty good considering how far it had
to go...shipping was pricey though.
I went with the small version in black and it is a perfect snug device. Its the first device that I can truly pee standing up....how awesome is that! Comfort wise I think it is more comfy by a good margin than my jb. But in mature metals defense im not sure I ever nailed my sizing down perfect. Love the itegrated lock. Its the first cb that I have ever owned that I can jump in my truck and not feel pinched or anything..I love that
The only downers there is are the finish has some ugly lines from the molding which I will take photos of if my wife ever takes it off..lol also I could see how hygene could be a small issue but not sure as I have only been locked up for 2 days.
Sorry about the typos typing on my phone. For reference I wore a 2/1/4 by 1/3/8 dia jb with a 2inch double oval ring and got the small ht with the 50 and 45 rings seems the 50 is the best fit for me. Also I am 100% to the end of the ht cage which is great for taking a whiz...thanks again for eveyones help.

So, two practical questions:

1. In case of emergency (lost keys, jammed lock), I know how to deal with an exposed lock: a lock picking set and/or bolt cutter will do the job. But what about the hidden lock? I would assume the easier way, in an emergency, would be to cut/break the resin - is that reasonable?

2. I saw in the HT2 website reviews, that some people report being able to go running with the HT2 - is that so?

i can certainly walk long distances in mine though i'm not a runner. i do find decent "supporting" underwear keeps all CDs more comfortable.

i guess cutting the resin ring would be the only out though i'd have a go with some fine tools through the non-key end of the slot to see what could be "manipulated" first. Personally my agreement with MsM is i carry a key at all times as does She. W/we're also getting some smaller keys cut in a couple of weeks (i designed something that i believe will do the job but only be 20mm long) so MsM can wear an actual working key on Her anklet and/or necklace when W/we're in public, so with 4 keys W/we shouldn't lose them all !!

Of course - I think that NOT carrying a key borders on criminal negligence (against oneself, but still). Keep it tamper-evident, if that's what the game calls for - but keep it with you.

Lost key is not the only failure mode, though; And specifically, because the HT2's lock is specially made, it is more likely that you'll hit a jam no one has hit before you (e.g, do you know how resistant it is to sand? either in the keyhole or outside it, since it's an "open cylinder" design? how about sand+sunscreen+sweat?)

The risk in such a device can vary between acceptable (hot bath + scissors) and less acceptable (solvent, requiring an expert locksmith). If I had e.g. a Latowski, I would never get the hidden lock - regardless of how sexy and perfectly made it may be, environmental conditions can cause the lock to jam. What do you do at that point, in a perfectly fitted steel underwear box?
