Ideal Device

Post by emptyshadow »

Hi all,

So I signed up on this forum to get advice on actual chastity devices. I've drafted a post a half dozen times and decided I didn't like what I'd written every single time.

I currently own a cheap chinese knockoff of a bird cage device, purchased from amazon. I have several issues with it, being able to pull out, and reinsert myself without unlocking (easily, really), the cage being too large, and severe discomfort when attempting to get an erection. Now for some context, my erections come on hard, and I'm definitely a grower. Add in the spaces between the cage, bars, and prolonged attempts to get hard can leave my skin tender for up to a day after it's taken off. All I really want is something I can wear semi long term, and be teased in without experiencing enough pain to make it not enjoyable. Not being able to pull out easily would be nice too, although I'm not willing to get any piercings at the moment.

Is this just a pipe dream on my part? Or is there a good, reasonably-priced device that can do this?

Thanks for any advice.

Welcome emptyshadow. We hope we can help you get off to a good start with chastity. Getting the fit right, as you have found, is the first step.
If you can afford it, I would recommend a CBxxxx series device. I would also recommend to purchase it from an authorized dealer. I've seen numerous complaints here about the knock-offs.
Determine your flaccid length to see if a standard or short version will work the best for you. As odd as it may seem don't use your erect length when determining the cage length.

Check this for comparisons of many devices http://www.keptforher.com/cbcomparison.html
This site also will have help with sizing here http://www.keptforher.com/fitting.html
Current device - MM Custom
Previous devices - CB2000, 3000, 6000, 6000s, Curve

Hey LRC,
Thanks for the advice. I have to ask, is the CBxxxx really a good device? It seems a lot of people start off there, but end up upgrading to something nicer. Honestly, for what I want (being able to be locked and teased for moderate periods) it seems like the CB series devices aren't necessarily the best, being plastic and prone to pins breaking (even on official ones).

Also, it seems like it would be a bit on the large side (although I need to pull measurements of my current one to compare).

Honestly, I'm considering trying to go the homemade route, except time is often a premium for me.

Thanks for your time.

I'm one of the people upgrading to a metal device, but I'd still recommend starting with a CBxxxx device to get used to it and be sure of sizing. My CB6000S has its problems but it gives the opportunity to try different size rings and spacers before you order something that can't be changed.

Based on my own experience, I also agree with those recommending the CB-XXXX as a device to start with. I wore my CB-6000s for about four months. It takes awhile to get accustomed to wearing a device long term, and over time, your ring size and spacing requirements will likely evolve (mine certainly did).

I wore mine at work, and at that time, I was providing engineering support at an operating refinery, which meant that, at least once a day, I'd go out into the facility, climb up ladders, scaffolding, crawl through pipes, etc. to get to where work was being done so I could see the issues/problems the contractor was having. Through all this, I never had any breakage issues with the device. The cage eventually did split, but thankfully it did so while I was in bed at home. I crazy-glued it back together the next day.

I now have two MM devices - both equally good and am very happy with them. But, had I not worn the 6000s, I'm positive I would not have ordered the correct sizes for the MM devices.

I also am one that has upgraded to a custom stainless steel device. The CB-XXXX devices are good to "test the water" with chastity and see if you want to be more serious with it. Yes, I know there are some people that say "I can't escape and can wear a CB-XXXX for months".... Well, I wasn't one of them, I could escape in seconds and couldn't wear it more than 3-5 days....

The thing that a "one size fits all" device allows is- you being able to see if you want to wear a device for days at a time. You get the full effect of the wearing day and night and the physiological side of it too.

For me, I had to have a PA to insure security. I bought at Neosteel sports belt and could pull out the side. I also didn't like the "full belt" feel for day to day wear. Because of testing the waters I was sure I wanted a PA and wanted a device that was custom and I could wear "as long and required".

Thus what I have now, and how I can wear the device as long as required with no issues. I did dump a lot of money into trying pretty much ever device out there before going steel custom. I would suggest picking a "name brand" device around 100-150 dollars US and test the water knowing that it will either meet your needs for "play" or if you want more, you will need to go custom.
I have finally found the device I needed to begin my journey in chastity. I have never been happier in my marriage to my wife, lover, soul mate and now Keyholder.

I am not fond of the CBxxx devices. The rather wide plastic A ring grips too much and caused me considerable pain. This time I am using an inexpensive Chinese device purchased from dhgate.com. The first one I bought was way too small. I followed the measuring directions on the Mature Metal site and then searched for device that seemed close to my size. I found one and it is very comfortable http://www.malechastityjournal.com/second-cage/. I did purchase a couple, but now I am ok. I have also ordered a MM Jail Bird, but that takes up to 8 weeks to get.

I'm very new at this, and I appreciate all of the comments and experiences. I have two Chinese CBs, a 6k and 6ks. The shorter cage works best, and with the largest base ring and the second shortest spacer, it seems to work well. I've been in it three times for three or more days, and with only a little chafing, it isn't uncomfortable. I'm a little concerned though, with the reports of splitting.
