Steelworxx sizing question

Post by Michele »

What does Dietmar mean by overall belt length? Is that from behind the base ring to the tip of the tube or the beginning of the tube to tip?

Thanks in advance, I want to order our Revenge so I want to make sure we have the length right... don't want to be sending back and forth out of the country for adjustments.

His measurement is for the entire device. It includes the ring and cage. But its not over the top, he measures along the middle of the device. It is a slightly shorter length than measuring over the top. check his website. I pretty sure he shows a diagram of his measuring technique.
Currently wearing Steelworxx Looker 3.

Thanks, I don't think I'm good at navigating his site on my phone :)

Appreciate the info!

Thanks! I just started posting on the blog again too! It's slow going, even with my stylus, but as long as I take breaks when my arm starts to hurt I can manage to type things out. I'd use my speech to text feature on my phone but the kids would wonder what the hell I was talking about haha.

I think I'll order the revenge today and that way maybe we can have it by Valentine's day. :)

Great choice. I have a Steelheart on order. Build time is 4 weeks. By delivery/shipping he means taking it to his local post office, so add a week to 10 days to that. I also hope to be locked for Valentine. I much enjoy your blog.

My sizing question is a bit different than the one posed above, but this is the best thread I found for it--trying to decide between the Steelheart and the Jail Bird. The Steelworxx website says the the gap between ring and cage on the bottom is 15mm and given that I have a history of one ball popping out of my CB-6000 except for with the smallest spacer (1/4"), I am concerned that the gap may be too big, especially with the added weight of the Steelheart. This is especially worrisome given that the horizontal distance and the actual distance between the edge of the cage and the edge of the ring would, I assume, be larger given that the diameter of the a-ring is larger than the diameter of the cage. Has anyone else had pop-out problems with the steelheart?

Dietmar has said that the gap can be made smaller, but I'm not sure how much smaller I should go to best simulate the CB-6000's gap. Any advice?
