My wife is the plain-vanilla type also, and she doesn't like the idea of my spending money on expensive devices. So far I've bought two, but I bought them on Amazon from Chinese companies, and the prices were very good, and I've been happy with the quality. So, anyway, at least I haven't been too extravagant.
As soon as I had the device locked on, I immediately had a desire to please her. I began to do little chores around the house. I was more willing to help with the laundry, and cleaning the bathroom, doing the dishes, preparing tasty snacks for her, etc. Honestly, I got a charge out of being helpful, because I knew she would see an immediate benefit to my wearing the device.
I bought my wife a special engraved key ring that has her name on it, and I asked her to rub it every now and then when she is away from me and think about me. When she asks me to do something, I always say "Yes Ma'am", which a smile, and she knows that I'm trying to be extra helpful and courteous because of the great power she has with that tiny key.
I'm hoping your wife will begin to appreciate all of the ways in which your device can improve her marriage and enhance her relationship with you.
