Lube

I'm sure this topic has been covered before I found this forum, but I wanted to ask about lube. What kind do you use (water, petroleum, silicone) on polycarbonate devices like the CBXXXX, on steel, on resin, on silicone?

I swear by Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop. It's like Vaseline with avocado blended into it. It has the right mix of slippery/sticky for me and balms the 'ring burn' nicely. A toothbrush sized application before bed or work is all I need unless I'm going on a long run (over an hour) when I'll apply Vaseline.

Started out using a Baby Oil Gel but that trapped odor and was messy to deal with. Someone on this Forum put me onto Aveeno Lotion with Aloe. Once in the morning after a shower and once before bed and I'm very comfy all day.

I use a small amount of unscented A&D ointment during the days or when putting it on. Generally at night I put on a bit of Gold Bond medicated skin cream. Though as I've gotten more and more used to it, I use less and less overall.

I love the baby oil gel. I put it inside my CB3000 about once a day, as well as around the ring. No problems.

I have started using Aveeno moisturizer around the base ring and 3-4 drops of silicone-based lube inside the tube. So far, so good with this combination.

A dab of Gold Bond hand lotion, which has vitamin E and dimethicone, under the basering works for me. Especially after those occasions Murray has left a load and they let me relieve myself. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm having a bit of an allergic reaction to the proteins in his semen, though they're not giving me any oral irritation....but maybe it just occurs where the basering causes some minor chafing during continual wear...I just rotate the stud to the bottom of my scrotum when they see fit to let me out of the cage.

System JO, Swiss Navy, or any other brand of silicone lube. Just two drops around the base ring = good for 24 hours. Steel device here. Water-based lubes may help you get in, but may also leave residual moisture that is breeding ground for a yeast infection. I had one, it was not fun. Switched to silicone and no problems since.

I find that cornstarch based baby powder keeps things comfortable during the winter when I'm not generating much perspiration in the ballsack region. Come summer, though, when the nuts get sticky/sweaty, a light bodied silicone lube like JO Premiun keeps the Jailbird's ring moving freely all day.

I'm in the same position as hot_toddy-dog, where too much moisture tends to initiate what appears to be a yeast infection. Aside from silicone lube being very long lasting, it acts as a skin conditioner, and fights off any moisture related ills.

I have a CB6000 and use Wet Platinum someone here recommened it and it work like a dream and last. After a show I squirt a little. Tryed Baby oil did not work any were as good as this stuff plus it started to smell after a couple of days even with daily showers and relube. Kind of hard to find around here finally fould it at wal-mart
