I am from Germany but have been living in Brussels, Belgium for over 10 years now.

Wow...

I just discovered this thread while browsing, and had to smile...

Let's see (in no particular order):
- I currently live in the Washington DC area.
- Lived in Houston for 4 years.
- Lived in the LA area twice for about 5 years (Santa Ana, Culver City, and Mission Viejo).
- Lived in the Seattle area for a year (Whidbey Island).
- Lived in Germany for 4 years (service brat).
- Lived in England for about a year (ditto).
- Lived in western Connecticut for about 10 years.
- I've spent a LOT of time in the far east (Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, etc).

But I've NEVER been to Australia (bucket list entry is to fly into one of the eastern cities, then take a slow train across the continent, then take an eve slower drive back along the south coast). Should take me about a month to six weeks I think. Ahhh. One day....

So with all the responses, I think I've got many of them covered!
