Reduced Ring Size Bringing More Nightly Pain

Post by HeldForHer »

Been into a CB6000s since December most of the time in the 1 7/8" ring.

Trying to get to the next size down but it brings with it a muuuch harder pull on the "boys" during those nocturnal erections.

Will this ease off over time?

Also, is there less pull/pain for the same diameter with an MM device base ring?

On a related note, I'm thinking of getting a double ring for an MM. Are the rings joined creating a groove that is harder to clean or are they slightly separated?

MM does generally suggest moving down one size in the base ring and I found that to be true when I went from the CB6000s to the Jailbird.

I also have a double base ring which I find very comfortable to wear. I was concerned about potential problems between the two welded rings but to my surprise there have benn no issues, and there is no space inbetween the rings.
Happily secured since 4/2010 :-)

You did not say why you felt the need to go to a smaller size ring but, if the 1 7/8 in was fitting well, two months seems a little soon for sizing down. For the CB series, make sure you are at the smallest spacer before going to the next smaller base ring. If the larger ring/smallest spacer combo is obviously too loose, then okay. If the skin is pulling, then try a small dab of lotion in the area of the discomfort and, in time, things will probably get better. I understand the need to be more secure, but it's best not to get in too much of a hurry. You can end up with some raw spots.

It seems that going from the CB6000s tomthe Jailbird is a natural progression, as that is what I am considering as well. I have finally settled into the largest base ring/smallest spacer setup, too. I would like to move to the #2 A ring, but that ring gave me the painful nocturnal erections the original post mentioned. At what point do I attempt to move back down for more security? Does the pain of nocturnal erections ease over time? The 2" base ring is not very secure when I'm limp! And do I move down to 1 7/8 when I order a Jailbird?

I believe in time your nocturnal erections will subside somewhat. Some of this is determined on the length of your cage. For me I find catching the erection vs a partial erection to be better.

If I were you I would try the 1 7/8" ring. If wearing it overnight causes you unbearable pain then send it back and have them increase it. It's a $10.00 charge and they are really pretty good about getting it back to you quickly.

Locked, I find that my erections start from the bottom and spread outward, ending at the base ring. As the erection grows, it pushes the ring outward, of course pushing my testicles along until the pain kicks in and stiles the stimulation. Beyond the base ring, the penis doesn't swell much, at least not during nocturnal erections. So far, smaller rings cause more recirculation and thus pain. I hope this would subside!

Really? I mean I know they say they'll do that for the gap but for a base ring re-sizing...? That just seems kind of odd to me in a sense. Though if they did then that is definitely a point in their favor on getting a device by them if you're in the US.

Now if only he'd make some inserts like steelworxx... lol

It's true. During the first few months in my JB I sent two rings back. One to add a bit more and one to subtract some stainless. Both times they charged me $10.00, and that included the shipping back, first class mail. Both times the ring was gone for only a week.

Quote taken from their website:
If you buy an item from us and the fit is not correct we will adjust the ring size or the gap between the ring and the device. You just send the device back to us with $10.00 for shipping charges and we will make the needed adjustments

What you are describing here happens to me also, tho I can say after many months now it happens a lot less. I wear a ring that when I'm relaxed I can easily fit two fingers underneath the base ring. When I experience an attempted nocturnal erection I'm so swollen I can't get a pencil in there and sometimes I do experience pain. I generally get up and pee which isn't too hard to do at 4am when you're my age.
