When I order the shorter tube, it probably won't be narrower.

One caution about the shorter tube: with the 85mm tube, sometimes urine comes back out the top if the flow is a little too strong. Messy.

I would think you get pressure on the A-ring no matter what.

I know it doesn't make sense but it is consistent with my experience. The smaller the tube the less it pulls.

Just to make it even more confusing, the smaller the A-ring the less it seems to pull as well. This may have more to do with a narrower gap though than smaller ring. I have found that if the gap is too big it can actually be very painful. I think that what happens is the gap tends to compress the nuts if it is too big rather than just block them from pulling through. I don't know how to better explain it. Really need a picture to illustrate better. So this isn't really a case of it pulling less, just being less painful when it does.

What I can say for certain is that my SH (35mm ID, 72mm tube length, about 2 7/8") is not small enough for the "more comfortable erection" effect, and I'm average in that department. I also have to wonder if it's different for an open cage vs an enclosed tube. To think that the average erection could be contained in a 1 1/8" x 1 3/4" volume is sorta kinda frightening.

Maybe I should just take that JB off of Dev's hands and see for myself.

Dev - Thanks for the kind offer, but all the measurements are a tad off for me. Besides I really should let this SH break me in before considering another device.
