I also read that article, and I found it to be very comprehensive and enlightening. Now I understand that there are chemical and biological reasons behind why we men act as we do, and that the satisfactions that we derive from participating in the MC lifestyle are really biochemical in nature. However, we captive men should now tread very lightly. The author states that after a caged male is released and experiences an orgasm, it can take from ten days to two weeks until his chemical balance is restored, and he regains his caring and helpful disposition. Once our KH's become aware of this information, they may then decide to avoid this period of emotional "down time" entirely, by extending the length of our confinements longer, and longer, and longer......

With respect, the idea of blaming one's actions purely on the effect of chemicals in the brain really undersells our will power and decision making.
I have personal experience with much of what is described in that article, especially the down and what I've always referred to as an "independent" feeling after an orgasm. However, this is just one factor that determines how a person acts and in no way should it be used as an explanation. It's like saying you require alcohol in order to go out and dance (or anything for that matter). Sure, it helps, but it is in no way required.
Even if how you are feeling is effected by this "post sex down," you can still choose to care, commit, or devote yourself to someone.
I mean no offense by this post, but I've heard way too many people blame "brain chemistry" for their behavior.

Thanks for the kind words. It has been almost two years since I wrote the article and everything I have experienced in that time confirms the analysis. My Devotion Refractory Period turns out to be relatively short - about five days. It takes about that long before I am back in an elevated mood and feeling the attachment and powerful desire to do things for my wife. We found that a cycle of about three weeks between releases works best for us with lots of teasing and a few "Lady's Nights" devoted to her pleasure in between.

Very informative article, thank you.
Does prostate "milking" have the same effect on the Dopamine, Prolactin, and Oxytocin levels as orgasms or just serve as a pressure release so to speak? Is there a "lost devotion" feeling after "milking" that takes time to recoup from?

It doesn't seem to have the same effect as you are not having an orgasm, in the same way ruined orgasm does not (for me anyway) have the same imapct that a full orgasm does. Milking literally forces (perhaps too strong a word) the semen out. If it is done right the milking will give you a feeling of wanting to urinate, if you give in to the feeling you will find that it is semen and other fluids (cowpers) that tend to be released.NickZ wrote:Very informative article, thank you.

For me milking is not exactly pleaseant or unpleaseant but it does not release the frustration or desires at all. There is also the near monthly debate about does the prostate actually need emptying at all (this will probably spark that again

MC on introduction? Showing you the device when he picked you up for the 1st date?Dserves wrote: We may be unique on this forum in that MC is almost what Mike led with when first introducing himself to me. He showed me his newly arrived MM Jail Bird when he picked me up for our first date (even asked me to open the package!), then he gave me the key the following night on our second date. Since reading your post as well as other resources, I have not allowed Mike to orgasm since he gave me the key 17 days ago
That *does* seem rather unusual, but it sounds like an interesting story.
