Sorry i haven't been on in a while ya'll. Haven't had much opportunity with my different work assignments as well as not currently being in a device. My question is wondering how long have you wonderful people thought of chastity, and how long it took from then to bring it up with your significant other or trying it for yourself.

It's kind of hard to remember since we started back in the mid-80s or so. This sounds a lot like how we started, that was back in the early to mid 90's. We did some really short term (hours at a time) stuff for a while and then moved on. The one thing we kept was that I would always ask for permission before I would cum and my wife would sometimes make me wait. I knew I could get it for a lot less if I ordered it online but I also knew that I needed to take advantage of the opportunity so I bought it. That night after the kids were in bed on it went. I wore it every night and full time on the weekends for the next two weeks. Then I decided I was tired of taking it off during the day so I started wearing it to work. I have been wearing something pretty much full time ever since.

So, from the time I was "re-awakened" to the idea of chastity to being locked up was a little over 24 hours.

I think this was possible because my wife was already used to "denying" me and we had spent the previous three years working through communications issues in our marriage (using a professional therapist).

As you can see, it took quite a few years for us to get to this point, decades, actually.

I would say this is true for us as well. It took decades to get to the point where this could happen even though once it started it moved very quickly.

Kink has very much been a learned activity for me. And while I'd seen some devices on some commerce sites and even felt a little tingle and temptation, I'd always internally been "Oh, now, that's just silly."

I personally have been thinking of it for a while (~6 months) having a partner (of only 15 months but he really is my soulmate) that I love to dominate, but don't get to as often as I like.
