I've found that the cuff ring (A-ring) can be smaller if the tube has a greater diameter. I ordered the same size cuff ring in steel I was wearing in plastic and found it to be too big, but I now think that was due to the tube being larger inside than the CB6K's.

If I were you, I'd talk to Dietmar. I'm sure he can help you decide (and you both speak German!). The device you're ordering is a thing of beauty and, I can assure you, 100% secure.

Well, I think I would call Dietmar before I order it. Perhaps he can give me a hint. I asked him allready because of the anatomical cuff ring, if when I order it I'll receive one or two rings. And he said I would get both: the normal and the anatomical ring. Because of that I thought I could order one in 50 and one in 47mm. ... mmhh... I'll call him...

How long had you all to wait for your Steelworxx-CB ?

My tube is 35mm which might be a few mm too big, but the next option down is 29m at that would be too small. My ring is 40mm. I ordered 45mm first and it proved too large, though when I eventually order a smaller tube, it may end up a better choice.

From what I can tell now, the bigger the tube is, the smaller your ring should be. When you move to smaller tube (closer to the flaccid size), the ring should get bigger. It's all to do with pressure and where the meat goes when it tries to get erect.

I don't really understand this. Are you suggesting as the tube diameter gets smaller the ring should get larger? Intuitively that doesn't make sense to me and it doesn't really match my experience.

Or are you talking about the overall size of the tube, including length? This makes a little more sense to me, the meat has room to expand in the tube so it doesn't press out against the ring as much so you can use a smaller ring? I don't have any experience with a larger tube (at least not that much larger) so I have no comparison there.

Ok, but as I wrote, the diameter of the tube at the CB6000 is about 30-33mm. And that is definitely too tight. I want to have the chance ta get water and air at the skin there, and because of that I thought, 35mm… mmmhh…. better try 38mm. Or? Perhaps I should ask Dietmar directly about this?

At the CB6000 I really need the 50mm Ring. I have this cage too:

and there are 2 cuffs. 40mm and 45mm. The 40mm is not possible! I’m not able to close it! The 45mm is possible, but to fight against a lion is much easier… Because of that I thought I should take the 50mm. But perhaps I should try the 47mm?

You making me thoughtful…. mmmhhh… even the length of the tube!? If I understand the page from Steelworxx right, the mean with the length, from the cuff-ring till the end of the tube. Ok. I I measutre this at my CB6000 this is around 100mm. If I measure it at me, from there where the cuff ring would be, till the end of my dick, this are around 100-110mm. So I would suggest a tube of 100mm should be ok. Or bigger? Smaller?

I have worn two devices recently (not counting the PA5K). One was the Steelheart with a larger, more spacious tube and a 40mm cuff ring. That one feels really good 90% of the time. The cuff ring does occasionally bite pretty hard, but there are many variables in cuff comfort (shaving being one in particular - I find ir to be more often uncomfortable after a close shave).

The other device I've worn was the Jail Bird. The ring was apparently the same diameter but was much more uncomfortable. IMO, I believe that was due to two things. One, the gauge of the ring is narrower than the SH's. It has a smaller surface area and would therefore tend to feel more like it was cutting into me rather than just pressing into me. Two, the JB's cage has a much smaller interior volume than the SH's. I think sizing one's tube/cage to closely approximate one's flaccid size is the right way to go, but it leaves less space up front for the engorged flesh causing it to back up into the body and put more pressure against the ring.

Therefore, it is my opinion that when one has a smaller tube/cage, one should have a larger-sized ring relative to the tube/cage size. When one has a larger tube/cage, one should have a smaller ring relative to the tube/cage size.

This is based on my experience wearing the SH for a year and the JB for about four days. But, it also might be why my first cuff ring on the SH was too big. I was using the CB6K's ring as a guide and that tube had a smaller interior volume than my SH ended up having. So, I guess you could say my theory is based on three devices worn over two+ years.

I'm not saying I've cracked the code, but this is the theory I'm operating under at the moment. I expect to use my first (larger) cuff ring on my SH when I get the smaller tube and I also plan on having MM make me a larger cuff ring. In addition, it'll be a double ring to help spread the pressure over a larger area.

Orko, I would deal with Dietmar directly. I'm sure he's MUCH more experienced in these matters. One thing I'm curious to know is if he agrees that one should size the tube to the size of one's flaccid penis. He suggests that on his newer devices, at least.

Also, with regard to timing, I think I waited a long time. Maybe 5-6 weeks? I'd need to go back to the blog and find out. Of course, I had trans-Atlantic shipping time in my wait that you wouldn't have.

Yikes, was I wrong! According to my blog posts at the time, I ordered the SH on October 10th and received it on October 26th. Two weeks from order to delivery of the first device. Pretty darn good! When I sent it back for a smaller ring and a new PA fixing, it was more like a month from beginning to end.

Keep in mind that Dietmar seems to be a one man operation, so all this it dependent on how many orders he has at any given moment. I've heard that he's very busy right now making devices for Christmas. Seriously!
