For beginners it is better to approach short denial. My wife and I started with a period of one week. We are gradually lengthened cycle in one day. After three months denial cycle was 2 weeks. A few months denial cycle was 2 weeks, then we extend to 17 days and finally to 3 weeks. For couples who begin it is important to gradually increase the period of denial.
Is it better short or long period of denial ? Depends on the couple. My opinion is the denial period shall be at least 2 weeks to 6 weeks. Anything over 6 weeks is extremely long, and all less than 2 weeks is too short.
Yesterday my wife and I decided to extend the cycle of denial to 6 weeks. The current denial period will be extended to 4 weeks, the next will be 5 weeks. After this, cycle of denial would be 6 weeks.
Is better short or long denial?
Re: Is better short or long denial?
Right now I am starting week 5 and have about 2 more weeks before our new PetTrap arrives. She told me that it will go right on with no mention of any relief. Our longest so far has only been 1 month at a time though I've always wanted to try longer periods. So right now every new day is a new record for Me/Us! Myself, I think after 2 weeks it becomes easier to do!

By a denial schedule what do you mean? Ive been looking through the forum for terms of male chastity and the usual mechanics to no avail
Back in the states after a severely cut stay thanks to the border control lowering my visit from 6 to 3 months. Doing long distance chastity with my fiance and keyholder jaysf.

Short term is harder in some ways than long term because you are always restarting the clock and I find this constantly frustrating. Once you try true long term - which I'd define as more than a month, you will notice very different feelings, you may begin to notice the ebb and flow of your cycle and feel balance come to it as a result of your cessation of release. If you enjoy that, you should continue with long term chastity. Short term is more about teasing and frustration I find, which I don't really enjoy. I don't find long term chastity frustrating at all.
So find what works for you, everyone is different.

Six weeks too long? Two is too short?? I don't remember being invited to the meeting where these standards were set.
I'm at the point now where sexual activity of any sort ending with me being denied is much better than an orgasm. I particularly enjoy waking up the next morning to find that I'm still as horny as I was the day before.
We're still on track for Mrs. H to keep me chaste until the end of the year, and although we've completed less than 13% of the journey, I'm still feeling good about it. And of course, I'm still as horny as a goat...

Re: Is better short or long denial?
One of the other threads talked about average age, and I wonder if that plays into what we find out chastity sweet spot to be...
The princess and I typically favor about a week, but she's recently asked me to consider a schedule (chastity is one component to our family planning) that would mean two weeks in out of every cycle. I'm game to try it, but I'm worried that I won't be able to make it the distance. Last time at 8 days or so, I was damn near ready to come just from the stimulation of being in my device.

Re: Is better short or long denial?
This entire thread presumes an answer to that question. Nobody said anything about any length of time being too long or too short. But you need some dividing line to answer this question. My line in the sand is somewhere around a month-ish being long, less than that being short, and mostly because that is the time it takes to go through the wife's entire menstrual cycle. That brings an entirely different dynamic into the picture, which is - do you stay denied through her period or not. If you're explicitly crossing that line, it's really hard not to call it a long denial.Atone wrote:I thought it was just me that missed that meeting.Harry Haversackers wrote:Six weeks too long? So my line is over there, you can draw a line anywhere you like, but I'll be willing to guess that nearly everyone agrees that talking in months is long-ish and talking in days is short-ish.
Re: Is better short or long denial?
I don't disagree at all. I do however have a little bit of a problem with someone telling others in a definitive way that a certain duration is too short and another is too long. It violates both of the statements that you make above. I think everyone needs to determine where their line is, that defines their sweet spot.hot_toddy_dog wrote: So my line is over there, you can draw a line anywhere you like, but I'll be willing to guess that nearly everyone agrees that talking in months is long-ish and talking in days is short-ish.
I do feel that a month is long-ish but at the same time, for me, a duration measured in months could be too short.
