has anyone ordered a device from here? We have been browsing the net gor a new device, specificly a metal one. Our first device was a CB 6000. My husband would like one that breathes more so it is better on hygiene.

I would be extremely cautious of buying a MCD that is priced at $30.00... The non custom CB6000/3000 ranges which have only twu sizes of tube and a limited range of rings for various sizes costs a good $100.00 plus. Normally quality custom made metal devices can get seriously expensive.... several hundreds in fact.

This looks like a Chinese rip off of another design and is unlikely to be made of medical grade metals. My advice on this. Avoid.

Not that it's easy to tell from a picture, but my opinion - worth what you paid for it - is that this is *not* stainless steel, but alloy steel that has been welded and chrome plated. Or perhaps some parts are made of stainless (so they can call it that), but it looks like chrome plating to me.

Some people can be allergic to chrome, which is why they don't make chrome-plated jewelry. Also, the welds look a bit rough, and if you try to sand them smooth, you will remove the plate, allowing that spot to corrode.

Buy at your own risk.

To me, these clearly look chrome-plated, so everything Tom said applies.
You may use these devices to check for overall usability of the open design, but in the end you should order something from MM or another well known manufacturer.

I believe the device my beloved gave me for Christmas is this one, except mine is not chrome but black metal (powder coated?). She bought it from spicesforlove.com and got a good deal. As for the quality, it is of very solid construction and is very secure. She wanted to make sure it was not going to slip off so she order one the same diameter as the #2 ring for the cb6000. My only complaint is this is too tight for me at times. I have been in my cb6000 for almost a full year but when she is feeling particularly punitive she puts this on me. I agree that chrome would not be the way to go for the same reasons and because chrome can flake off. Spices makes many different devices and the prices for most cannot be beat. They are made in china but that should not automatically mean the quality is not there. Worth checking out and worth the $60 paid for it.

I have this. It's a fake-copy of the Steelworxx CB-Zero. If your goal is going for 24/7 chastity it is definitely not good, an awful choice. I swear. That's why I'm ordering a real Steelworxx.
The tube doesn't stay perfectly locked with the ring, and hygiene is terrible. In 2 days, it's all dirty and the metal release a strange brown substance: I think it's the result of oxidation of ferrous bicarbonate in the water, that forms a brownish red deposit. Which means, in other words, that the quality of the steel used is not good.
Save your money and go for an original Steelworxx or a Mature Metal Device.

I took a look at the spicesforlove site. They do offer customized stainless CBs. My main interest is in a cage design they offer. I have not seen any other manufacturers with the same design.

Does anyone have experience with such a cage design?

It looks nice if it is indeed made with the quality SS as used by MM & Steelworxx. The A ring hinge would not work for me. Had the old style CB series which was like this and it caused an abrassion at the hinge.

I agree on the hinge issue. The price seems OK, but not significanly better than other well known manufacturers.

I was thinking of asking steelworxx if they could make a tube with a similar cage on it. I like the steelworxx products except for the tube end. I also like the fact that several others here are pleased with their CBs from steelworxx.
