Thanks for all of the informative posts. Some great ideas floating around. OK, maybe the EMT scenario I provided was a poor example and bolt cutters would be faster for them. I guess my main motivation for the aluminum pill box idea was to give the locked boy a way to keep the key with him at all times. Making it fairly easy to get to, but not too easy during a moment of weakness--especially without leaving evidence of tampering. The aluminum canister is durable enough that it will last a long while. As we all know, things attached to key rings are subjected to a lot of abuse. Other examples provided (using a numbered plastic lock) would not be feasable to be carried on a key ring or in the pocket on a regular basis because the plastic lock would break too easily. The aluminum canister can be easily etched with someting uniquely identifiable that cannot be easily duplicated--thus preventing the boy from buying another pill box and trying to pawn it off as the original containing the key.
Thanks again for the feedback and the great ideas. That's what these forums are meant for!
Solution for Keeping Emergency Key on Person
Re: Solution for Keeping Emergency Key on Person
This is something that has come onto our field of play.
As we are about to change from a device that is only worth the time it took to fashion it from bits and bobs at the Home Depot to something that is 'reassuringly expensive' there would be a greater cost than mere embarrassment to having it removed in a Trauma Dept.
As has been pointed out above; if they need it off, they'll take it off and give you back the pieces if you wake up.
However, I'd suggest that unless the device itself was the cause of the problem (either through improper sizing or chronic lack of hygiene) you'd be very unlikely to have to reveal your kink on anything relatively minor. Of course there is always the chance of needing a catheter or MRI scan but at worst you'll be the next coffee break "Guess what we had" tale until another Barbie doll head needs to be found.
Given the rarity of serious injury is there really a need for an E-key?

I've not needed one recently, but I do have one. It's very simple- the Key is in an envelope she signed across the flap and then taped.

They appear to be considering the subject of chastity safety from different directions but asking the same questions.

I think Atone improved the design... But, here is what we use for an emergency key:
Simple to make as its just a piece of copper pipe... pounded a bit flat to make the key fit and make it fit better in a pocket. With a hole drilled through it...

Not sure if this would work when it was warm outside. What about placing the key in the container, screw it shut. Now take a colored candle and melt it all around the container where the grooves are. Let dry. Just like in old days when letters were sealed this way. If the seal is broken, chances are the key was removed. A daily inspection will ensure the key remains safe. If opened the container could be cleaned easily with warm water , soap and a nail brush, reseal and start again.
Even easier. buy some stick on labels. The keyholder puts it around the container after she signs it. If the container is opened the seal will be torn.

http://www.selectlocks.com/site/1266378 ... t/29-00101 sells a simple box that has to be broken in order to get to the contents for only $6.25 and you may be able to find it cheaper yet. So why go through the effort of constructing things when a solution is cheaply at hand
