Skin damage

I have developed a sore spot right where the scrotum meets the "bottom side" of the penis.

I already had given the base ring of the cage a thorough sanding and polishing months ago, but now the sore has come back after spending some days and nights in the device.

The sore spot sits right on top of the little "ridge" of skin that runs down the scrotum.

Has anybody had a similar problem? At the moment I'm out and treating it with healing cream.

Is it just sore, or is the skin actually broken or blistered or abraded? Have you been using anything to lubricate the area?

I mentioned in another post that I had developed some problems and started using *more* lube, the problem got worse. When I stopped using lube I stopped having a problem.

After having been locked up 24/7 for the better part of a year, about a month ago Mrs. Twisted made the observation that my skin seems to have become a little 'rougher' and 'tougher' than it used to be.

I sometimes develop a little 'tender' spot, especially where the hinge rivet of the CB3k is, but that is usually relieved by pulling the skin of the scrotum thru the base ring one way or the other.

I rarely use lube now. Just a bit of baby oil once in a while if I get 'stuck' too far back in the cage, very sparingly and mostly on the top side. When I put it on, I usually do it in the shower using soap for lube, or shower immediately after and rinse thoroughly so that no lube/soap remains.

The skin is actually abraded, and there was (very little) blood. The spot is very sensitive to being touched, indicating that the skin is completely off there.

I had already tried an adhesive bandage when I noticed it developing, but although it prevented any pain, it did not stop the sore spot from becoming a real (but superficial) wound.

I have noticed that my skin tends to "stick" to the metal of the device after showering or a bath. Olive oil in the water or an oily cream after the bath helps in that regard.

I hope it clears up and you can get back to normal.

Like twisted I use little to no lube. I haven't used a real "lube" in months, I do use a little hand lotion on my sack and around the ring after my shower in the morning and again before bed. Even with the hand lotion I only use a very little bit, too much usually makes it worse not better.

I had exactly the same problem about a month ago (sore, broken skin, little blood right on top of the little "ridge"). I don't know why it suddenly happened, but we made the mistake of locking me up again as soon as it seemed to have healed - it was too soon and the problem re-occurred after about a week.

I've never used lube on the penis or cage, only under my scrotum around the base ring, so I am mystified as to the sudden cause - I think I developed a small blister which burst, but the result was exactly as you describe above.

Anyway I'm now in longer healing mode and won't be re-locked until all tenderness has gone and the skin looks "tough" again.

So I've been on the honour system for the last week and will be for a while longer - it does feel very different, but I'm interested to see what it's like being chaste and uncaged after a couple of weeks.

If anyone has any ideas as to why this should suddenly happen after 2 years of wearing a device there are now two people interested in a response!! ( I have an MM, so nothing to do with polycarbonate)

this is what was happening to me too... but its almost all cleared out..
I changed my cockring to a bigger one 1 7/8" and a tighter gap.. and i got a ring made out
with the rod welded on top of the ring.. this seems to be working .. I can wear the device now
24/7.. and feels very good.. No pain at all, cept when im getting some serious night time
erections, but I love that pain..
