(i know that there have been numerous threads on this topic, however im looking to bring more of a consolidated thread together for convenience. If the moderators decide to delete this i completely understand.)
As i have already decided that i am going to be purchasing a steelheart i feel that measuring myself numerous times over the next week or two would give me the best results. What i would like to know is peoples experiences with the steelheart and sizing stuff.
do you think it would be more comfortable to size it a little bigger or smaller?
also what are peoples thoughts on the regular rind and the anatomical ring, does the extra room of the anatomical ring take away from the security of the device?
and lastly, how often have people gone down in size on the A ring? i am going to get a ring set from mature metal to see where to start, but i am curious as to how fast my body will adapt to the size of each ring as i wear it.

It would help if you provided where you are coming from. I could go back and look at your earlier posts but that wouldn't necessarily build a complete picture either.
What are you wearing now if anything?
What other devices have you had?
What problems are you having or have had that you are trying to solve?
to your questions -
A consolidated thread is a great idea but this is such an individual process that it would be hard to cover everything. If you start by reading what is out there and then start a post with your specific situation / concerns / needs I am sure you will get plenty of advice.

as small as possible without being too small.do you think it would be more comfortable to size it a little bigger or smaller?
I don't like the anatomical, found it to be uncomfortable due to the increased gap. I also suspect that most guys would be able to pull out a testicle if you shifted it so the center was to one side. In order to have the center gap small enough to be secure the overall gap would probably be too small.thoughts on the regular rind and the anatomical ring
a lot. This is a progression that almost hast to take place. If I started with the ring I use now I would have never been able to wear it. I tried smaller rings but they didn't work. I think I have found the smallest that will work for me and I still ordered a ring 1mm smaller just to have it. 1mm doesn't sound like much but that is how close I think I am.how often have people gone down in size on the A ring?
That might help but a narrow plastic ring is not going to have the same effect as a wide steel ring like steelworxx uses. I find the wider steel ring to be much more comfortable. Overall diameter still comes in to play though, especially at the lower limits. You are balancing comfort / wearability during normal wear with comfort / safety during an erection.i am going to get a ring set from mature metal to see where to start, but i am curious as to how fast my body will adapt to the size of each ring as i wear it.
definitely check those threads and the numerous others out there.Check these threads

Re: Measuring for the steelheart
Well over a couple of different threads that i have read people have mentioned (in passing mind you) there opinion as to how much room if any to allow yourself when you are sizing yourself for comfort inside the tube. I know i am a bit on the thicker side since i have split a new CB3000 with not problems.....twice. I understand everyone has different taste, im just looking to get a vote and see what the majority of people think.
also i forgot to ask. I have PA and plan to also purchase the PA fitting. Should i also allow a bit of extra room for the fitting inside the tube?

Deathrage,
If you haven't checked it out yet, Thumper's blog (denyingthumper) has some very good information on the Steelheart. And he has a PA, too. If I recall, I think he does recommend a little extra room for the PA and fixing. I don't have a PA, so can't comment on that aspect.
When I measured over a week or so, I went with my average flaccid length. I've been wearing it much of the past 3 weeks, and it seems great. I'm glad I didn't subtract any length from my measurement. I think that would've been too tight. If anything, I might add 1-2mm if I were to do it again. That, and maybe have also ordered one more ring (41mm) since they can't be ordered a la carte unless you send the tube back, too.

Re: Measuring for the steelheart
about a year ago I tried the cb6000. Started off with the next to largest ring because of unbearable pain. After several months I was wearing the smallest size-1 1/2 inches, I believe. For the steelheart, I chose an overall length of 85mm, which is the smallest choice offered on the site, and a 40mm ring. I am pretty much average in length and maybe a bit bigger in girth, but still ordered the 35mm tube. Result is a filled to capacity tube. No problem with my pa ring. I would be somewhat concerned about a longer tube because as you shrink the pa fixing would be pulling on the ring and consequently putting pressure on the piercing.
Currently wearing Steelworxx Looker 3.
