Getting used to the CB-6000S

Post by Unremarkable Jamie »

I can't believe that it's been more than a year since I originally asked about devices. But about a month ago, we got a CB-6000s, and our success with it has been mixed, but certainly (to date) we haven't achieved the results we want.

I can wear the CB-6000s, and have worn it over night on one or two occasions. But I can't wear it "indefinitely," and not comfortably enough to let my beloved wander off with the key. It's always a matter deciding if this is "good" discomfort or "bad" discomfort.

As I mentioned in my original post, I'm pretty "high and tight." Having figured out that there are 25 post/ring combinations, there are still a lot left to try. But I have not yet successfully balanced comfort and security.

I'm not confident that this will work out, which makes me reluctant to spend the additional on a metal device. Would love to hear from anyone who started here and ended up with something that works.

I'm a newbie in a 6000s as well. It's been about 6 weeks or so since your post so I'm curious to know if it has worked out. I love mine and it's getting to the point where I almost forget it's there.

If things haven't gotten any better for you I suggest using plenty of lube—especially around the base ring and on your head. I was pretty high and tight too but after a couple of months I do have to say my sack feels like it has stretched a bit. The final adjustment I made was to use a bigger spacer moving up from the smallest one to the second smallest. I don't like that the profile in my pants is slightly bigger but my sack was a little too squeezed. I'm going to bet that might be your problem as well.

I have no intention of moving up to a metal device any time soon. My keyholder is still learning the ropes and while I think things will probably be great in the long run I'm not about to drop $300 on something I'm not going to use.

Good luck with things.

We've been trying this on-and-off, and I've been trying to keep track of the different permutations. I had the not-so-bright-as-it-turns-out idea of trying this without any spacer at all. Seems pretty secure, but causes pinching that's really painful. The smaller rings cause a real burning sensation at the bottom of my sack, so I'm trying to dream up other combinations to try.

Does it do this all the time or only at night?

A common approach is to reduce the ring size until you get this slight burning and then back off a little bit. If it is only at night you might try a little lube (I find a drop of silicone works best) around the ring and on the bottom of the sack. You might want to try this for a couple of nights before you give up on a ring size if it is only a minor burning sensation. I know I can handle a much smaller ring now then when I started. I think this is for two reasons, one I got used to a certain ring size, second the excitement has gone down some. I still get a little burning on occasion. It happened this morning probably because I was allowed out for a little play time last night. Took a while to get soft enough to get locked back up and then stayed really horny all night.

Once you have worked down to the ring size that is most comfortable start working the gap down in the same way. For me this will also introduce a slight burning sensation but not in the same location. Same thing applies here, go slow and take small steps. There is no need to be in a big hurry and it takes time to adjust to the new settings.

Good luck finding the best combination and be sure to report back what worked or didn't work for you.

Thanks for the reply. Things have been crazy-busy here. Keeping a record of all the different permutations we've tried is very helpful.

Right now, I'm trying the middle-sized ring, with the smallest spacer. So far, this has been comfortable enough for day-time use; I haven't tried sleeping in it yet, since sleep has been a scarce commodity around here recently.

But the last time I tried this combo, it worked great and we just removed it at bed time. I'm hoping for similar success tonight. It seems like once I get the ring right, "the boys" have a tendency to slip through. But I realized that this isn't going to be a matter of coming up with the right combination and going "A Ha!". Rather, it's going to be finding a combination that seems to work, and just using it for as a long as it works, until some days/weeks later, I go "Wow, I guess that works." Then I get to hand over the key for real, something I really aspire to.

I will second lube and say that you need to just persist. The first few nights I woke up several times each night, for the next week or so it was once a night, and now I've been using the CB6000s for months, and can sleep comfortably, I don't even notice. Just stick it out, it gets better.

Is your issue the rings or the tube?

For rings, I think it's a matter of acclimatization--there's not much more than that to it. With the plastic devices, I found that lotion helped. With my metal device, I didn't seem to need it.

In terms of the tube, I've found that the shorter tube actually -is- better. I'm in a CB6000-S right now. (My partner bought me one and put me in it when I mentioned that I wasn't sure about the proper tube length to order for the custom device I want to order.)

If it's anything like me, it will take a while to get the right combination, then your body will adjust and you will have to start going smaller with the rings and spacers. I think I've finally settled in better now. Also high and tight and it was a big challenge at first.

Nocturnal erections.
Started with the CB 3000 and wearing boxers as I have done for years. Kept waking up in terrible pain like someone kicked me in the nuts. I think this was for 2 reasons
1 the since I grow a lot there was room in the tube when flaccid and as the erection got going there was nothing to stop it until the process was really moving along…….then it REALLY kept trying.
2 The boxers allow it to flop around. When I finally tried sleeping with athletic type tighty whities that kept the package tight to the body, it was harder for it to start pulling on my nuts.

I am now using a CB 6000s. When completely flaccid this is the right size for me. Then when things start growing it stops it pretty quick. I’m now back to sleeping in boxers.

Lube.
I tried baby oil and didn’t like it. The water based lubes tend to get sticky as they dry out. From what I can tell both of those can also cause issues with bacteria (or other nasties) in a warm moist environment. After it was suggested I tried a silicone based lube and find that to work very well. I use WET silicone based because it was available locally, but have read that some others may be better. They are expensive to purchase, but a little (like a drop or two) go a long way.

Regarding silicone lube: aside form using it with the CB6000, we found "Eros Body Glide" to be perfect as the all-around lubricant for a massage, as well. We also use it on the head(s) of the vibrator, and it does not cause any irritation inside her vagina, either.
