I'm currently in a CB3000, which I've had for about 4 years and worn off and on. I think the longest I've worn it straight, non-stop, not even out for cleanings was about 18 days. The longest I've gone continuous, with brief unlock periods is a little over two months and had no problems at all. It's very comfortable, or at least as comfortable as a plastic cage can be when it's locked around your cock and balls

With all that said, I'd like to get a Steelheart. I've not asked her about the aesthetics of the CB3000, but I'm pretty sure she doesn't like the looks of it. She's still not totally on board with the whole chastity thing though, so I'm not sure if it's the clear plastic device itself or chastity in general. I think she'd like the looks of the Steelheart. It's almost like a piece of stainless steel jewelry. Plus, the stainless steel is a better hygienic option too.
Also, there are some small issues with the CB3000 and comfort. The holes where the pins insert into have some sharp edges that sometime rub the wrong way. I've also split the cage one time while wearing it, which was not a fun experience! I've glued it back together and it's held, but I don't want to keep pushing my luck. I'd like to relegate the CB3000 as a backup and go full metal.
The specs of my CB300 from the AL Enterprises website and what I've figured out:
CD 3000 measurements:
Ring size: 1 5/8" Solid ring purchased sometime after the original CB3000 purchase
Tube Inside Diameter: 1.45"
Length: 3" (from the AL Enterprises website)
Gap size: 6 mm (measured the spacer with a ruler while it was locked on)
The fit is good, except I'm sure I can go shorter. I'm not small, but I'm not huge either. Erect I'm pretty much an even 6" and not very girthy (is that a word?). When not erect, I can be anywhere from 2 to 3 inches, but there's a lot of fluctuation. When flaccid the head of my penis often binds up and sticks on the top part of the cage before it flares out. I guess most often when I look at it, unless I'm hard or semi-hard, there is at least a 1/2 inch of space left in the end of the tube of the CB3000. As for diameter, I'm often touching the inside walls of the cage.
When I convert those sizes above to millimeters, it comes to this:
Ring Size: 41.3 mm
Tube Inside Diameter:36.83 mm
Length: 76.2 mm
Gap Size: 6 mm
Looking at the Steelheart on the website, getting close to those numbers would look something like this:
Ring Size:40 mm
Inside Diameter: 35 mm
Length: 76 mm
Gap Size: ??
I'm sort of confused on what the length of the Steelheart should be. Should I cut that 76 mm down some? If I knock off a half an inch, that would make it 64 mm in length? Or does that seem to short? Also, should I be comparing the lengths of the CB3000 and the Steelheart? Is it making an apples to apples comparison?
I've done my research but I just want to get some advice and confirmation from others who've purchased the Steelheart before I sink $300 minimum into one. Plus, I want to have all my information for the next time my wife asks me what I want for Christmas this year
