MM Queen's Keep on Order

Post by wishful4 »

We just ordered a MM Queen's Keep. I can't say enough about how great MM has been emailing back and forth answering my questions and concerns. We were going to get the security screw, but my KH/Spouse likes the lock & key concept. The specs are: Cage length 1 3/4, cage dia 1 1/8, (2)base rings 1 3/4 & 1 7/8.
MM must be selling a ton of devices, because he emailed that delivery time could be 4-6 weeks. Once received, I will post a review of my wearing experiences.

My KH also liked the idea of the lock & key. We didn't go that way because we didn't the way the padlock sat off to the side.

She didn't like the fact that a "tool box" item could be used to open the cage. The high security screw is an odd-shapped triangle with a stud in the middle. The key will fit only one way in the triangle. LRC wanted the verification that it hadn't been opened.

An option that MM has is a hole behind the screw that a plastic lock can go into. The plastic lock doesn't hold anything so you don't have to worry about stress breaking the plastic. It also sets flat on the cage. I have this and it works very well. If you are interested contact him and he may still be able to do this.

A few weeks ago he took a week vacation and I think that may be why he's a little back-logged.

We were considering this as well, but MM wanted $60 to drill the hole for the numbered lock. That seemed a bit excessive. We will start with this and can always send it back for modification later if necessary. My spouse only wants me to wear it at home now, so if that changes, we may do something else.
