You could always go to the hardware store and get a DIY ring to make do in the interim. I believe that's what Thumper did at the very beginning.

You might be wise to order one of these at the same time for when, uh, emergencies crop up. I am kicking myself right now that we don't have one.

I know what the answer to this is going to be, but just being cautious... There is no danger to long term ring/device wear as long as it isnt tight enough to cut off circulation or keep you constantly hard right?

Make sure your doing proper cleaning and you don't have any allergic reactions to the metal (or in some cases the lube or plastic), you should be fine.

Be careful with the hardware store rings. I think they are just chrome plated, not stainless steel. Even if they are stainless they are probably not 316 Stainless. They can have rough edges or even peel if they are poor quality. Not usually a problem if using to secure a rope in the back of your truck. Not good if it is around your C&B's.

There are lots of sites warning you never to wear a cock ring for longer than a few hours and certainly never overnight, but they seem to be thinking of the stretchy silicone or rubber ones that exert a constant pressure. As far as I can tell, a rigid ring of the correct size does not cause any problem, except perhaps when there is some pre-existing condition.

Certainly I've found it OK to wear a stainless steel cock ring 24/7 for a long time, as have all the people who are locked and have a base ring as part of their device. Whilst my ring gets tight when I'm aroused, I can easily slip a finger in under it when I'm not, which reassures me that I am not doing myself any harm.
