I I use sanitizing hand gel as a lube for my urethra tubs. I soak the tube in it then directly insert it into penis and lock it is.

Wow! Chemicals! That sounds really iffy to me.

Although im not recommending this. I've had a uretheral continously for theee years now and have always used spit?

Ouch! I’ve done enough sounding to know that boiling and alcohol and a good lube works well. I would think that hand sanitizer would burn like fire.

Just my thoughts.

I have worn a cage with U-tube for several weeks and a lot more intermittently. I've never had a problem with a steel tube but have had discomfort with a silicone tune. If it has been a while, I either put the cage/tube in boiling water for 5 minutes and/ or spray alcohol through the tube and rinse it out. Never had an issue with this method. Like Pickle says, when you pee, it helps clean it out and a good soaping in the shower also helps.
Try it, I think you will really like it after you get used to it. It actually kind of massages you from the inside out!

Every time I tried a silicone tube there has been pain and even a drop or two of blood. Not severe, just not a good sign for long term usage.
Pickle has an excellent post on using urethral tubes. Look it up.
