I am not a medical expert. I get the appeal of an insertable tube to help keep things in place, but nothing will convince me that they are safe for long term wear.
I always remember reading about Thumper’s experience. At first, he thought the idea was very, very exciting. He justified it by saying that it’s a risk / reward matrix, and we all make those choices everyday. He decided the risk was worth the reward. Until he got, and suffered through, a UTI. After that, he was adamant that the risk was NOT worth the reward.
I dont remember reading that part. I thought he had had a uti in the past. But nothing to do with the urethral?
Will recheck when I can. Reading his post was one reason I decided to go with this in the first place.

Me. "I only got 30 seconds, that's not fair". C. "life's not fair, suck it up"
But in here it does say the looker os has a urethral tube.
Maybe clarifaction as to whether he used the looker with the tube fitted?
Tom has the most sensible point here and I would agree.
If youre not sure then don't.
I had already decided that this is what I really wanted to do and it was based on my own research. Then just cataloguing my own experiences. I am not trying to sell the idea or promote it any way.

January 5 to February 28 in the s160. Now a brief weekend break as instructed then back in the 160. I did have longings to change devices during that time but was told not to change and stop topping from the bottom.
The 160 has been good because it is no show when wearing work slacks and I can once again wear blue jeans. I had to get different underpants but with that sorted I am sure I can stay in the 160 as long as necessary. No further updates to this review planned.
It’s a perfectly suitable long term (with regular cleaning) device.
MM Jail Bird 11 months straight until January 5. Now it is locked in HOD S160 small as “requested”. It’s…. Different.
