For those embarking on the "Urethral tube" journey let me share my experience.
This is just a newbs observations...
If you've never had anything inside their dick, like myself, it's different, that's for sure.
I purchased this cage per Mr Pickle’s recommendation.
Also, got this stainless steel urethral dilator set
at the same time and glad I did because there was no way the tube that came with the cage was going to fit in my cock!
I tried the dilators about a week ago (uncaged).
The 5 & 6 mm went in easy and 7 mm with a little help.
The 7 was difficult to pull back out. Almost like it was stuck. Fortunately, a little bit of deep breathing and small twisting motions and out it came (I’ve also since learned that urinating will “reactivate” the lube and assist in removal).
So this morning I Inserted the 6mm urethral dilator and had it in for most of the day.
I took it out to use the facilities the first time but the second time I left it in.
Some urine sprayed out around the sides of the dilator but not a lot.
The inner diameter for most of these dilators is just under 3 mm.
Ultimately, want to get to 8mm so I can use the urethral tube that came with the cage, which incidentally, has an inner diameter of 3.5 mm
Have a little ways to go to that point.
It definitely let me know it was there but other than feeling strange (never had anything inside my dick before) was not unpleasant.
I’ll update as this adventure continues.
Sincerely, D.

This is an excellent thread, thanks so much for everybody's input so far.
I have always liked ball trap devices, but don't like how easy it is to escape, so a stainless steel urethral sound could be perfect next step before having to brave a PA piercing...

Re: Transition to steel urethral tube Log.
A new uretheral has arrived.
As you can see it is ribbed and flared at the base.
Both these features are good for peeing without dripping.
But it is long compared to the one I use (right), which in the mini dome would be uncomfortable maybe even painful after a while.
I can't test it unless I can get permision to swap to the minidome for a couple of days, but I think I will have to make it shorter anyway.
Will update if permision is granted for research purposes. Due to holidays that wont be for at least a week or two.
If I am brave enough to risk asking lol
