It makes me think that a caged male is then being kept "in a state of readiness" so that when his female is ready, and unlocks him, they are both going to want sex rather than one partner just going along with what the other wants.
I don't know if Emm thinks along similar lines to this and maybe I've over-simplified things but it seems to make sense to me.

Well another successful day/night so "only" five more nights to go and I can confirm that I am still "in a state of readiness".

I've been thinking about this topic and realized I have another surprise I had kind of forgot about.
When we started my KH was keeping key around her neck, The first time I wanted to remove the unit realizing I would have to ask and possibly beg for it, I felt trapped. Even though I didn't have it and had to ask for it I KNEW it was handy.
When KH holder took ALL the keys to a safe deposit box that I did not have access to, when she returned grinning and I found out what she had done I kind of waved it off.
Again, went to shower this time and thought about removing it to clean myself and the sudden realization that I was locked and I MEAN LOCKED and no longer had access to any of the keys was mind blowing.
The unit I was wearing has a glans ring so no pull out and with the 10mm wide base ring and custom stainless steel lock meant I was LOCKED.
I was REALLY surprised at the shock and feeling of being trapped almost making me go and demand her get the keys back.
I didn't but it felt like the first time I had locked myself and left the keys at home when I went to work. Very exciting and arousing.
Anyway, just another thought and surprise I thought of.

Currently locked in custom BA 34R, also use Ba-20 with triple base ring occasionally switched for BA 25 with double base ring.
Just over two months in and I am now starting a new 30 day stint without release. Maybe other surprises so far would count as 'bigger' but I didn't expect my keyholder to keep me locked for a whole month, at least not so soon after we began.
Learning all the time.
