The multiple pregnancy risk factor is deemed unacceptable so it’s one or none. Does bring the success rate down of course but that’s the deal. Wish you all the best though as we certainly know what it’s like to see somebody go through repeated cycles of this, particularly if they’re also providing the egg as in our daughter's case.

I could see a limit of two since naturally occurring twin pregnancies are relatively low risk with proper oversight. I'm glad your daughter finally got her baby!

Now starts the countdown for the HCG spike and the pregnancy test. Fingers crossed for you. We went through that ordeal successfully 20+ years ago. Best of luck!

It worked for us, we spent today with our miracles of medicine and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
That's awesome! Did you have twins? I go in tomorrow, first appointment since the transfer. 🙂
Uh... no twins would have been easy. I laugh at people who complain how hard "a baby" is to care for. We ended up with triplets (three implants and all three took) and immediately had the doctor demand we abort one of them. I was trying to wrap my mind around what he was suggesting when I looked over and saw the look of murder boiling up in my wife's face.

"Yeah doc, we're here to listen to your guidance and understand the risks going forward but we're keeping all three babies. End of discussion."

The doctor immediately backed down and explained that she would become a high risk pregnancy and could only deliver via c-section. We have three healthy 20-somethings now and the baby who would have been the 'target for reduction' is actively in the process of applying to medical schools. #Irony

My wife's initial numbers were pretty high as well, it isn't a guarantee of multiples but prepare yourself. Her first ultrasound went like this:

Sonographer: "Okay let's see what we have going on here. Look there is a baby right there."

Moves the transducer north of her naval and immediately calls out a second baby.

Sonographer: "Oh, twins. Here is Baby B!" She immediately puts a label on the image on the screen and goes back to what she then labels Baby A on the first baby she found. She walks the transducer back between the two images and counts 'one-two, see them?' but then slides it down along the ribs on my wife's right side. Puzzled, she goes back to Baby B location... back to Baby A location and then back to the right side for another glowing image.

Sonographer: "I'll be right back." She walked out and closed the door behind her. My wife and I looked at each other not quite grasping what just happened but trying to wrap our mind around twins.

The tech and the doctor come in the room and go through the different images after which they go through some technical medical chatter until finally the doctor takes a deep breath and says "looks like you're going to have triplets." The sonographer then carefully labeled Baby C as I started to laugh like an inmate at an asylum.

We went from zero to 100 pretty quickly and couldn't have been happier about it. We won the lottery.
