“John Holmes” Chastity device?

Post by LeoVSM »

Sorry to all the Millennials and such... John Holmes was once the most famous porn star known for his ginormous dick. Anyway, I went on HOD to order a cage after measuring my *very average size* shlong and I suddenly felt like John Holmes. What am I missing? This will be my second cage. I had a CB and now trying to find something metal. I’m just 4.5” from pubic bone to tip (completely flaccid / after shower yadayadayada). So not exactly Holmes material. The surprise was... all the cages, including one labeled as XL, are under this in the length measurement by more than an inch. I feel like a db implying that I’m too big for Britain’s finest. Believe me I’m not. I’m positive I’m missing something here. I noticed that places like MM recommend you deduct at least 1/4th of an inch from your measurement and I’ve done this. So here’s my question: Is it well-known and expected / acceptable that I cram my 4.5” junk into a 2.5-3” cage?? Or should I ideally be looking for a device with a closer match to length? I no longer have my CB and to be honest, I don’t remember if it pulled way from my body, etc.

Seems like most [here] are 'growers' rather than 'showers', and less than 3.5" when soft. Most cages are built to accommodate that size range.

You can try to use a smaller cage, I think that there are some who go much smaller than their measured size, or look for one that is larger. The larger cages are less common but I have seen a few.

I am just over 3.5 in. when soft (sometimes smaller when really relaxed) and I have had the same problem. I am on my 6th device trying to find something comfortable enough to wear. My issue is more around girth though. Most "regular" devices I cannot even get inside and the few I can are impeding blood flow at dangerous proportions. Base ring is a problem too as there is no way I can wear a standard 2in. (or smaller base ring).

Long story short, look at the Cherry Keeper cages. They have a wide range of devices.

Thanks for the tip, I’m gonna look for those. The details of your own experience definitely helps too. Pretty sure I need to change my approach before buying after hearing all that. Thanks.

Right, I should have paid more attention in the shower room when I was in college. Most likely I’m a ‘shower’ :? and it appears not a great indication of baseline population. If I’m ever abducted by aliens I’m gonna totally skew their data. But more to the point... Highly inconvenient for chastity play. I guess I’ll have to look for a magnum style cage and forget about my dreams of clever concealment.

It's fine if it's shorter, actually. It was once believed necessary to make the tube equal to your flaccid length, or at least close. But years of chastity pioneers have found that it's not. Now, it needs to be WIDE enough to not cut off blood, 100%. But length? Nah. You can actually cram your equipment down to nub and it's still fine. It's all squamous cells, after all. Of course, TOO small and you'd have a hard time actually keeping it clean, what with all the folds, so I'm not advocating that extreme, but I think it's become more the standard to push your guy down by an inch or so into the cage. Mine is.

There were very few, what I would consider, but large cages out there when I was looking. The longest mass produced ones I found were around 5.5” long. Mancage by Shots makes silicone ones that are 5.5” long with an inside diameter of 1.77”, which is one of the largest ones I found when I was looking. But girth matters too for cage sizing and I ended up getting a custom made one due to not finding any wider cages on the market. Custom made ones are expensive but you a guaranteed it would fit well.

Oh, I should add that I always take a chance to plug MaleChastityNow. The guy who runs it and does all the manufacture is super cool and willing to make whatever you need, and he does it fast. Is it more expensive? Sure. But he makes good stuff, and he'll even alter or fix things if he can for a minor charge. So he's a great option if you need a custom size or shape or anything else--he doesn't make you feel like a "problem customer".

At 5.5 from shower I have similar issues. I have learned Ring, Gap, Cage dimensions, in that order, are what matter. Cage is, by far, least important. Ring is critical for circulation and Gap plays a bigger role than people initially think for both circulation and security. I started with CB-x Curve, moved to CB 3000 with CB 2000 original rings. That is still my best fit and is repaired many times, now with epoxy, but is crammed in so hygiene suffers and I push out of air vent slots. A272. (LONG) works with skin gel and a spoon to jam inside, but gap is not right for me, otherwise it can work. A361, a new one, is 37MM wide inside but the bigger tube takes up too much space in 50mm base ring so it doesn't work, making the ring too small. Getting the tube right cancelled the 50mm ring which is now too small. I am considering badassworkroom titanium custom, but all the learning from cheap China products was necessary to avoid a costly mistake. Good luck.
