Getting back to my suggestion of using the band for very short term play, before I tried it, I would do some rigorous testing to be absolutely certain that I could remove the band quickly and safely as soon as things started getting too intense. If you can't remove it with the same device that you put it on with, I would test various styles of bandage scissors to be sure I could safely slip them under the stretched band and easily snip through it.
