Well, I finally posted the graph and explanation on my blog, and it's being spread around Twitter, etc. So far, it's pretty well received.

Thanks to everyone here for your input. I expect that this may evolve over time, if it does become popular enough.

Tom's matrix came up on another forum, and I realized our patterns had changed. It used to be, I'd be locked for two or three weeks at a time, unlocked for some play, told to lock up again in the morning, and this would go on for a while then we'd take a break and not use the device for several months, then pick it back up again. Though I do think each round of "picking it back up" she was more willing to leave me locked for longer amounts of time.

But this year has been different. When the device has gone on, it's been on for months. When it's come off, it's been off for, well, weeks, but it's very much all or nothing.

Often the breaks would coincide when something (heh) broke on the plastic cage.

Mrs Edge has noted more than once that nothing should break on this one.

I put up with, and fixed, a lot of broken plastic. Until the day the cage split and pinched me. Then I ordered a Queen's Keep from Mature Metal. Yeah, it's not going to break. Plus, great fit and good hygiene. Not many excuses to take it off now, air travel or an MRI maybe.

It's funny, we had a vacation planned to Hawaii in April. I figured that put an outer limit on how long I'd be locked up that time, and then Covid cancelled the flight.
