Does anyone know what size screw that is?

Hard to tell from the picture, but they are a French company, so I'd guess it's a metric sized screw - probably a 4mm if it's screwing directly into a 6mm base ring (I'm guessing 6mm since it's close to the 1/4" typically used. )
